Air Canada Fleet Boeing 777-200LR Details and Pictures

Air Canada Fleet Boeing 777-200LR Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Air Canada operated 6 wide-body aircraft Boeing 777-200LR.

The Boeing 777 aircraft type (B777-200LR and B777-300ER) joined the Air Canada fleet in 2007 and is key to Air Canada’s long-haul services.

The 777 is a long-range, high capacity airliner which features Air Canada’s new three class interior.

The cabin of Boeing 777-200LR is made in Boeing Signature Interior style with increased luggage shelves and indirect light.

The width of the cabin of 5.87 meters allows accommodation of 10 seats in a row.

Windows size is 380×250 millimeters.

As the airplane is used on long-haul flights many airline companies equip the cabin with multimedia systems of entertainment.

Generally, Boeing 777-200LR is modern, quite and comfortable passenger airplane.

Air Canada Fleet Boeing 777-200LR Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

All seats feature personal inflight audio and video entertainment on demand.

Air Canada currently has six Boeing 777-200LR configured with 40 ‘Executive Pod’ Business Class seats, 24 seats in Premium Economy, and  236 seats in Economy Class.

Air Canada has selected the excellent Rockwell Collins (formerly B/E Aerospace) Super Diamond reverse herringbone seat for its 777 and 787 fleet.

Positioned in a 1-2-1 configuration, all seats have direct aisle access and are convertible into a lie-flat bed.

A large pillow and duvet is provided however there is no ‘turn down service’ or mattress topper.

26 seats are in the front cabin and 14 in the rear mini-cabin.

There is excellent storage around the seat including a deep storage bin alongside the window where the remote control, headphone jack, USB and power adapter are located.

This means you can charge small electronic devices and have the lid closed so everything is out of sight.

The literature pocket is located under the tray table alongside the window, as well as another storage pocket in front.

Additional storage space is located under the armrest, however, this is exposed to the aisle, so I would not recommend storing anything of value in there.

The seat has an electronic height adjustable headrest and massage feature.

The premium economy seats on this aircraft are 20 inches wide, excluding the armrest.

Premium economy passengers are issued with the same low-grade headphones as economy class, but with a little jiggling you can use your smartphone’s earbuds in the same audio jack for much better audio.

Air Canada arranges their 777-200lr economy cabin in a 3-4-3 configuration, which is becoming the norm these days.

The 777s have plenty of legroom, at around 32 inches of pitch, with the standard 17.5 inches of seat width – more than ample for most.

This was one of Air Canada’s refitted 777s, so the plane was equipped with new, slimline seats, as well as Premium Economy, the new Reverse Herringbone seats in Business, and the new Panasonic ex3 entertainment system in all classes (more on that in a bit).

The tray table was standard-sized and clean.

Air Canada Boeing 777-200LR may transport 300 passengers in three classes.

Business class has 40 open suites that are located in two sections.

First section includes 7 rows of seats: 6 rows contains 4 seats and the last 7th row of the section has 2 seats.

All the seats of the first section are standard only the seats 7A and 7K have such a disadvantage as close location of the galleys.

The second section of business class contains the other 14 seats.

Proximity of the lavatories and galleys may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 8D and 8G and for passengers of the seats 9A and 9K.

Behind the business class the seats of Premium Economy class are located.

There are 3 rows of seats here that have 2-4-2 configuration.

The seats of the 12th row are considered the best seats as passengers of these seats will be able to take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats have basinet location that is why passengers traveling with infants are often seated here.

The seats of the 14th row have extra space for passengers’ legs but at the same time they are less reclining than standard because of the bulkhead position behind.

Economy class may accommodate 236 passengers.

The seats in the economy class are divided into two sections.

First section contains 11 rows of seats. Most of the rows in economy class have 3-4-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of 18th row will feel comfortable thanks to the extra legroom.

This seats are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats.

An extra fee should be paid to reserve these seats.

The only disadvantage of the seats 26ABC, 27DEFG and 28HJK is proximity of the lavatories.

The second section of economy class seats contains 15 rows.

The seats of the 30th row are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats.

These seats have extra legroom.

To reserve these seats an extra fee should be paid.

Other passengers tend to gather in this area while waiting to visit lavatories causing some discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Passengers of the seats 31ABC and 31HJK will also take advantage of extra space for their legs.

These seats are also classified as preferred seats.

As there are no seats behind, other passengers tend to bump into the seats 40C and 40H.

The seats of the last 44th row are considered bad seats as they are less reclining and proximity of the galleys and lavatories will also represent problem to passengers of these seats.
