Air Vanuatu’s Boeing 737-800 is one of the newest aircraft flying between Australia/New Zealand and the South Pacific Ocean island nation of Vanuatu.

With 8 recliner seats on business class, and 162 standard seats on economy class, Air Vanuatu operates this Boeing 737-800 both on domestic and international flights.

Air Vanuatu Fleet Boeing 737-800 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Air Vanuatu Boeing 737-800 aircraft is outfitted with Boeing’s Sky Interior, large overhead bins, comfortable e-leather seats, and light interior colors.

Seating is configured in Business and Economy Class cabins.

There’s 8 recliner seats on business class, and 162 standard seats on economy class.

The front two rows (out of 29) are reserved for business class passengers on a 2-2 configuration.

In economy, seating is 3-3.

Entertainment is streamed onboard to your personal tablets and/or mobile devices.

Business Class

The business class section is tiny, with just eight seats in two rows of a 2-2 layout.

They’re 21 inches wide, 4 inches wider than in economy, and plenty of leg room; there’s 38 inches between the back of your seat and the one in front (economy has just 31).

Business Class passengers have a 30kg check-in allowance, with two pieces not exceeding 7kg for carry-on.

Business Class passengers on flights operated by Air Vanuatu will receive a four-course meal accompanied by their complimentary bar service. 

All international fares offered by Air Vanuatu include the cost of baggage, meals, beverages and in-flight entertainment.

Air Vanuatu can happily accommodate a range of dietary requirements however they do ask that you inform Air Vanuatu team or your travel agent of requests no later than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Published quarterly, it’s an excellent introduction to the culture, history and lifestyle of Vanuatu.

Economy Class

The economy section of the Air Vanuatu 737-800 aircraft is broken up into a configuration of 3-3.

Passengers flying Economy Class to and from Australia and New Zealand on Air Vanuatu 737-800 aircraft will enjoy their choice of meal or snack with a complimentary bar service which includes soft drinks, wine, juice and beer.

Economy passengers can check in 23kg, with one 7kg carry-on bag.

Air Vanuatu International offers economy class passengers either a meal or snack service plus a complimentary bar service offering: soft drinks, juice, wine and beer.

Flights to/from Australia and New Zealand operated by 737-800 offers a Business Class Cabin, serving a premium 4 course meal and full bar service.

If you are travelling on flights to & from Noumea and Nadi they’ll serve you a snack box light meal plus beverage service.  

If you have a specific meal requirement for health or religious reasons, please ensure that you mention this to Air Vanuatu or your Travel Agent when making your booking.
