On November 13, 2019, CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited (“CDB Leasing”), announced the delivery of the first of two Airbus A321neo aircraft to Azul S.A. (B3: AZUL4, NYSE: AZUL).
The aircraft is the first A321NX version of the Neo family, fitted with Airbus’ Cabin Flex option, to be operated by a Brazilian airline.
The Airbus A321neo is known for its fuel efficiency and environmentally friendly design, making it a popular choice for airlines looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
It is worth noting that this version of the A321neo is not long-range, but is already equipped with the ACF interior changes, which allow for an additional 20 seats on board without reducing passenger comfort.
Altogether, the A321neo can accommodate up to 240 passengers in a single class with these changes, but the company equips the aircraft with something between 214 seats.
Azul Fleet Airbus A321neo Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
Azul Airbus A321neo, configured in a 214 single-class (economy class) seat layout and powered by CFM International’s Leap-1A engines (similar with the A320neo), will provide passengers with enhanced features.
The Azul Airbus A321neo economy class features comfortable seating with a pitch of 29 inches and a width of 17 inches.
The seats are arranged in a 3-3 configuration and are equipped with adjustable headrests and personal entertainment screens.
Passengers also have access to USB charging ports located at each seat.
In-flight meals and snacks are available for purchase, and passengers can pre-order their meals online before their flight.
Complimentary soft drinks, coffee, and tea are served on all flights.
Azul’s A321neo also features a modern cabin design with mood lighting and large overhead bins, providing a comfortable and spacious in-flight experience for passengers.
