ATR 72-600 is two-engine turbo-prop short-haul regional airplane constructed by French-Italian manufacturer of the airplanes ATR.
First flight of the airplaneās prototype took place on July 24th 2009.
In December 2015 European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) certified version of turbo-prop regional airplane ATR 72-600 of increased capacity intended for transportation of 78 passengers.
First airplane with such configuration came into commercial service in August 2016.
Earlier maximum passenger capacity of ATR 72-600 was 74 passengers.
New option became possible thanks to seat pitch optimization and regulation of the front cargo compartment.
