Finnair Fleet Airbus A350-900 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Finnair’s A350-900 first cabin version features a two class configuration with 46 flat bed Business Class seats, 43 Economy Comfort seats with up to 4” of added legroom, and 208 standard Economy Class seats.

Finnair’s A350-900 second cabin version features a two class configuration with 32 flat bed Business Class seats, 42 Economy Comfort seats with up to 4” of added legroom, and 262 standard Economy Class seats.

There are 46 business seats split between two cabins, arranged in a reverse herringbone 1-2-1 configuration, so everyone has direct aisle access.

There are no overhead baggage lockers above the centre seats, and this, combined with the off-white and light grey décor of the cabin and Finnair’s Zodiac Cirrus III (Aries) seats, made the business cabins feel very roomy indeed.

At the same time, the angled design and curving seat-backs provided a good deal of privacy.

The seat itself was wide, with soft-touch armrests and plenty of legroom.

A footwell lets you put your feet up and becomes part of the bed when you recline the seat fully flat.

There’s a good-sized shelf and a recessed area with a hook to hang the excellent noise-cancelling Bose headphones, but only one small triangular storage bin with a lid.

The table slid out easily from under the shelf and mine was sturdy and held my laptop steady – though it was quite high and I needed to raise my seat some way for comfortable typing.

A two-strength reading light is positioned at shoulder height, as are a USB port and international power socket.

Here were also the TV control (though the 16-inch monitor, which swings out at the touch of a button, is touchscreen as well) and the seat control panel, which was simply and easy to use, with three preset buttons for take-off, inclined and sleeping positions.

The new Finnair A350 has five rows of economy comfort seats near the middle of the plane where each seat has extra legroom and passengers receive an amenity kit, headphones and a welcome drink in funky glasses, one of which is pictured below.

First version is the most common.

This airplane offers 297 seats of three classes: business, economy comfort and economy.

Business class seats are located in 2 sections.

All the seats here have 78-81 inches pitch and 21 inches width.

Business class may accommodate 46 passengers in 12 rows: 11 rows have 1-2-1 configuration and 1 row offers 2 seats in the middle of the airplane.

First section contains 8 rows of seats.

All flat bed seats in this section are standard.

Only the seats of the 1st and 8th row have such a disadvantage as close location of the galley and lavatory.

Second section of business class seats is located behind exit row.

This section consists of 4 rows.

Behind the seats of business class 5 rows of economy comfort seats that offer 43 standard seats with 35 inches pitch and 18 inches width are located.

As personal TVs and tray tables are located in the armrests, the width of these seats is slightly reduced.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 22C and 22J are considered the best seats in this class because they offer additional legroom to passengers.

Economy class may accommodate 208 passengers in two sections.

The seats of the economy class have 31 inches pitch and 18 inches width.

First section of economy class consists of 8 rows of seats that have 3-3-3 configuration.

Lavatories located behind the seats of the 33rd row will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Behind exit row second section of economy class seats is located.

Passengers of the seats of the 41st row will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable and reducing width, close location of the lavatories may cause discomfort and there is no floor storage during take-off and landing.

For passengers who are travelling with babies the seat 41H has bassinet location.

Due to missing seats in front the seats 42A and 42L have extra space for passengers’ legs.

These seats are the best seats of the economy class.

Proximity of the galleys and lavatories may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 55D and 55H.

The last rows of the airplane, i.e. the seats 55ABC, 55JKL and 56 DEH are considered bad seats because of galleys and lavatories located behind these seats.

Second version of Airbus A350-900 may accommodate 336 passengers: 32 in business class, 43 in economy comfort and 262 in economy class.

Business class offers flat bed seats that are located in the rows 1-8.

The seats have 1-2-1 configuration with 78 inches pitch and 21 inches width.

Noise from the galleys and lavatories located in front of the seats of the 1st row will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Galley located behind business class seats is the disadvantage of the seats of the 8th row.

Economy comfort seats have 35 inches pitch and 18 inches width.

Seats of the 21st row are considered good seats.

Passengers of these seats will take advantage of additional legroom.

However, close location of the galley and lavatories may be bothersome.

The seats of the economy class offer 31 inches pitch and 18 inches width.

Economy class is divided into 2 sections. Limited recline and proximity of the lavatories are the disadvantages of the seats 38DEH, 38JKL and 40DEH.

Finnair Fleet Airbus A330-300 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Finnair operates 2 cabin version of Airbus A330-300.

First version Airbus A330-300 operates in a two class configuration and shows Finnair’s newest Business Class which is a staggered layout.

In this version, there is additional capacity in Business Class which is split over two sections.

Business Class are rows 1-10, Economy Comfort are rows 21-25 and Economy is rows 26-57 for reference when discerning different versions of this aircraft.

Second version Airbus A330-300 operates in a two class configuration and shows Finnair’s newest Business Class which is a staggered layout.

In this version, Business Class is entirely in the forward section of the aircraft.

Business Class are rows 1-7, Economy Comfort are rows 21-25 and Economy is row 26-57 for reference when discerning different versions of this aircraft.

On the Airbus A330, Finnair has an unusual [2/1]-2-1 layout in business class, which is split into two sections, a front one with seven rows and a back one with three, which are divided by the galley and a lavatory.

Seats on the left side of the cabin in the front alternate between being a pair and a single seat — those single seats (2A, 4A, and 6A) are known as “throne seats,” as the seat has surface and storage space on both sides of it.

If you’re a solo traveler, definitely aim for one of these, but otherwise take a single window seat on the right hand side of the aircraft.

Avoid the window seats of the pairs on the left (the odd-numbered A seats), as you’ll have to awkwardly climb over your neighbor to exit if they’re in lie-flat mode.

But traveling companions would do well in any of the double seats.

In addition to the lavatory in the middle of the cabin, there are two additional ones up near the cockpit, at least one of which has a window inside.

While the (rather small) facilities were kept clean throughout the entire flight, there are few toiletries available — just Dermosil hand soap and lotion, plus some air freshener. 

When in lie-flat mode, the seat measures 79 inches long, which allowed me to stretch out comfortably.

Storage space was relatively limited, with just a cubby above the armrest (where the universal power outlet, headphone jack, USB port, and an ethernet port were located) and an extendable pocket that holds the safety card and in-flight magazine.

There is, however, a dedicated slot for shoes, which was a welcome touch.

In addition to the overhead lights — which are next to adjustable vents for temperature control — there’s an over-the-shoulder reading light.

Business-class passengers are treated to 11-inch touchscreen monitors that function well, along with a tethered remote.

Business-class passengers are treated to one hour of free Wi-Fi, while Plus Platinum members and above can connect for free for the duration of the flight.

Beyond that, it costs 7.95 euros for one hour, 11.95 euros for three hours, and 19.95 euros for the full flight.

This airplane offers 263 seats of three classes: business, economy comfort and economy.

Business class seats are located in two sections and may accommodate 45 passengers.

The seats of business class have 60 inches pitch and 21 inches width.

Anyway, the seats 21AC and 21JL are considered the best seats.

Passengers travelling with infants are often seated on the seats 21DEGH because these seats offer bassinets.

Economy class seats are located right behind economy comfort seats.

Economy class may accommodate 178 passengers on the seats that have 32 inches pitch and 18 inches width.

The seats of the economy class are divided into two sections.

First section contains 7 rows of seats: 6 of them have 2-4-2 configuration and 1 row with 2 seats.

Congregation of passengers who are waiting to use lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 31C, 31DEGH, 31JL and 32AC.

In addition the seats 31DEGH, 31JL and 32AC are less reclining than standard.

Behind lavatories and exit row second section of economy class seats is located.

Thanks to the exit row located in front passengers of the seats of the 41st row will feel comfortable because these seats offer additional legroom.

Among disadvantages of these seats: reduced width because the tray tables and personal TV are built-in the armrests making them immovable, lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and location of the lavatories in front.

Protrusion of the exit doors inside the cabin is another disadvantage of the seats 41A and 41J.

Due to awkward transition of the middle seats from 4 to 3, the seats 53D and 53H are often bumped by service carts but personal TV in the seatbacks in front are misaligned that may cause discomfort to passengers ofthe seats 54DEH.

The only disadvantage of the seats 56D and 56H is close location of the galley and lavatory.

The seats 56AC, 56JL and 57DEH are considered bad seats because they may be less reclining than standard or not recline at all and because of the noise from the lavatory and galley located behind.

The seats of the rows 1-7 offer seats of business class.

There are totally 32 flat bed seats here.

Noise from the galley and lavatory located in front of the seats of the 1st row will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Another disadvantage of these seats is lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Galleys located behind are the main disadvantage of the seats 7DH and 7L.

Behind exit row 40 seats of economy comfort class are located.

The seats in this class have 35-37 inches pitch and 18 inches width.

The seats of the economy comfort class are located in the rows 21-25 and have 2-4-2 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 21st row will feel comfortable thanks to additional space for their legs.

The seats 21AC and 21JL are considered the best seats despite such disadvantages as: reduced width and no floor storage during take-off and landing.
