The Q400 aircraft is built in Toronto at the Bombardier Aerospace plant. The Q400 aircraft engines are also designed and manufactured in Canada by Pratt & Whitney Canada. Bombardier Q400 operated by Porter Airlines may accommodate 74 passengers in two classes: premium and economy. Premium seats are located in the first 2 rows. An extra fee must be paid to choose these seats. Passengers of the seats 1AB and 2CD will take advantage of extra legroom. But location of the lavatory in front may cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

The other 17 rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration are the seats of economy class. So there are totally 68 seats here. All these seats are standard. Only the seats 10A and 10D have no windows and the seats of the last 19th row are considered bad seats because they are not reclining and the noise from the galley located behind may be bothersome.

Disability seating accommodation

There’s no charge for selecting your seat if you have a specific seating requirement because of a medical condition or physical disability.

Travelling with children

If you don’t select your seats in advance, where possible we’ll automatically reserve suitable seats for you approximately 24 hrs prior to your scheduled departure. If you can’t all be seated together, we’ll make reasonable efforts to ensure each child under 12 years of age is seated with an adult travelling on the reservation. Therefore, it’s important that you indicate in your reservation at the time of booking that you are travelling with young children.

As an alternative, you can contact our Call Centre and make a request to be seated with your children. As long as adjoining seats are available at the time the request is made, we will assign them to you without charging any seat selection fees.
