IndiGo Fleet ATR 72-600 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, IndiGo operates 25 turboprop aircraft ATR 72-600.

IndiGo Airlines is to deploy its new ATR 72-600 aircraft on flights on its existing network including Chennai-Mangalore-Chennai, Hyderabad-Mangalore-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Nagpur-Hyderabad, in addition to the flights from these cities to tier II and tier III cities of Tirupati and Rajahmundry.

The ATR 72-600 is the most popular regional aircraft in its category.

Its unbeatable economics and operational versatility at small airfields makes it the perfect tool to support IndiGo’s plans to build its regional network in India.

The ATR 72-600s feature seat and trip costs that are respectively 10% and 20% lower than those of other in-production turboprops.

They also feature the most modern cabin interiors, specifically designed for ATR by the Italian firm Giugiaro, with thinner seats, larger overhead bins and LED lightening for an optimal passenger experience.

With its new ATR 72-600s IndiGo will be able to offer their passengers affordable fares, while opening new routes throughout the country, thus contributing to developing local economies and strengthening social links.

IndiGo Airlines’ ATR 72-600 is used mainly for the airlines short haul routes and seats 74 Economy Class passengers.

This turboprop aircraft has 74 seats in an all-economy class configuration.

There is only one lavatory, located at the tail end of the aircraft.

Rows 1 and 2 are extra legroom seats.

The emergency exits are located next to rows 1 and 2.

IndiGo offer advance seat reservations to their passengers; you may choose a window seat, aisle seat, or a seat with extra legroom.

IndiGo’s ATR has a standard 2-2 seating like most other ATR’s.

The one difference is that the first row of seats face backward.

The seat is reasonably comfortable and has adequate leg room – the profile of the seat especially leaves space for your knees.

Each seat has individual AC vents which are pretty powerful.

The menu on the ATR is expectedly not as expansive as the menu available on the airline’s A320’s.
