Kenya Airways Fleet Embraer E190 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Kenya Airways operates 17 narrow-body regional aircraft Embraer E190.
Kenya Airways operates their Embraer E-190 on short-haul flights.
The plane has 12 business class seats and 84 economy seats.
It’s a compact plane, but the seats are still 17 inches wide.
One thing I enjoyed about the Embraer planes is that the seats were a more cushioned leather, particularly in business.
While shorter Kenya Airways flights are on older 737-800s and the Embraer-190, the airline gets kudos for its eager, friendly staff, free alcoholic beverages, and full meals on most flights.

Kenya Airways Fleet Embraer E190 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
This narrow-body Embraer E190 aircraft flies in a two class configuration with 12 Business Class (Premier World) recliner seats and 84 standard Economy Class seats.
The aircraft is laid out in a 2-1 configuration for business class and 2-2 for economy.
There are 2 seats per row in economy , leather upholstered and very comfortable.
In business class there is 1 seat per row on the left side, 2 on the right, max 96 passengers.
The toilet for economy is right at the back of the aircraft.
Overhead baggage space is severely lacking on these regional jets!
Legroom is adequate and comfortable enough.
No seatback entertainment or charging ports on this particular E190.
Individual in-seat IFE at every seat, including economy.
Whilst the size of the screen was relatively small, the selection of TV programs and movies was more than sufficient for the 90-minute flight.
There were no headphones provided (the jack, however, is compatible with standard single-plug headphones), nor was there any airshow map on the IFE.

Kenya Airways Fleet Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Kenya Airways operates 9 wide-body aircraft Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Kenya Airways operates their Boeing 787-8 on medium to long-haul flights.
Kenya Airways took delivery of its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in 2014.
The 234-seat aircraft feature a two-class configuration consisting of economy and business classes.
Powering the aircraft is the GEnx engines, which Kenya has chosen over the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines that have been crippling airlines such as Virgin Atlantic and Norwegian Long Haul.
The engines are tried and tested on ultra-long-haul routes such as Nairobi to New York, as Qantas uses the engines for its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet which fly daily transpacific flights between Australia and the U.S., as well as daily service between Perth and London.
With the Dreamliner being the largest and only long-haul aircraft in its fleet, it serves all of Kenya’s intercontinental routes, serving cities such as London, Paris, Bangkok and, now, New York.

Kenya Airways Fleet Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Kenya Airways flies in a two class configuration with 30 flat bed Business Class seats and 204 standard Economy Class seats.
Kenya Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner business class as the airline’s premium cabin, called Premier World, was voted Africa’s best business class by the World Travel Awards in 2017 and has been highly praised by travel bloggers and frequent travelers compared to other African airlines.
On the Dreamliner, the five-row cabin is configured 2-2-2 in paired lie-flat seats separated by the middle galley and boarding door for a total of 30 seats.
The rear business class cabin is more private, featuring only two rows.
A business class seat features 74 inches of pitch and 31 inches of width, and comes with an amenity kit and a Kenya Airways-branded pillow and blanket.
The seat offers a personal reading light and bounds of storage space.
When in an upright position, the seats feature 74-inches of pitch.
At every seat, you’ll find a power outlet, USB charging port, personal movable reading light, cup holder, tethered remote for the in-flight entertainment and noise-canceling headphones.
Since the seats are paired, there is no direct aisle access for window seats.
However, when not in lie flat mode, there is plenty of room to walk passed your seatmate without disturbing them in the slightest.
The safety card and magazines are found in the center storage space between the two footrests under the in-flight entertainment screen.
The screens are on the back of the sat in front of you except in the bulkhead seats where they are smaller and stored in the center console.
The headphone jack, power outlet and remote is in the corner of the seat, easily accessible when in lie-flat mode but probably less so when in full upright mode.
The in-flight entertainment remote, headphone jack and power outlet can be found tucked away behind the center console.
Storage space is paramount as every free space in the seat can be used to store items for the flight, reducing the need to get up as the window seats do not have direct aisle access.
The remaining 204 seats on the aircraft belong to the economy class cabin of the aircraft.
The seats, arranged in a 3-3-3, are notably different than their counterparts on other aircraft in terms of cushioning.
Economy seats feature 32.2-inches of pitch and 18.5-inches of width.
Each seat features an adjustable headrest covered by a Kenya Airways-branded headrest cover.
The Aberdare Range 5Y KZH Boeing 787 8 Dreamliner of Kenya Airways at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Kenya Airways joins the very short list of airlines offering more than 32-inches of pitch on its long-haul aircraft as economy seats feature 32.2-inches of pitch, joined with 18.5 inches of width.
Additionally, only one row does not have a window on either side, row 32.
Kenya Airways economy features some of the most legroom in international economy cabins at 32.2-inches of pitch.
The headrests are covered by an extended head cover, but they are still adjustable.
Additionally, the layered seatback pockets are higher up to allow for more shin space.
Each seatback features a standard screen, coat hangar, remote and USB charging port.
The seatback pockets have been adjusted to allow for more shin space.
The seats feature similar amenities to business class such as a 110 volt AC power outlet found under the seat, USB charging port located in the seatback in front of you, coat hanger, headphones, tethered remote and a standard sized in-flight entertainment screen, as well as a pillow and blanket.
The tray table is also foldable so you can choose between half open for drinks and fully open for a meal.

Royal Air Maroc Fleet Boeing 737-800 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
Royal Air Maroc flies their Boeing 737-800 in a 159 seat, two-class configuration of Business and Economy.
Royal Air Maroc’s 737-800 business class cabin consists of a total of 12 seats, in a 2-2 configuration.
With a generous seat pitch of 36 inches and width of 21 inches, there was plenty of leg room and wiggle room in the seat , the leather seat frame was especially comfortable, think comfy office chair with a decent recline.
These seats are similar to what you’d find in domestic first class within the US, with a bit more legroom.
While Royal Air Maroc is an African airline, in many cases they’re competing with European airlines offering their short haul product, which consists of economy with a blocked middle seat.
So in that sense Royal Air Maroc is a significant upgrade.
Unfortunately Royal Air Maroc’s 737s don’t have personal entertainment or wifi. However, they do have:
Overhead monitors, which alternate between showing films and showing a moving map
An app where you can stream a very limited number of movies and TV shows
For inflight entertainment, Royal Air Maroc uses a system called Sky-RAM.
You need to download the Royal Air Marco app first.
Once that’s done, you can turn on the wifi and watch films, listen to music, etc. on your own device for free.
