Finnair Fleet Airbus A320-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Finnair narrow-body aircraft Airbus A320-200 is equipped with all Economy Class seats.

Depending on demand, these seats can be converted to Business Class by reserving the middle seat for exta space.

Airbus A320 operated by Finnair may accommodate 158 passengers in two classes: business and economy.

As this plane has nothing but economy seats, the front four rows (three rows on the starboard side, and partitioned by thin walls and a curtain from the main cabin) are used for business class passengers by blocking off the middle seat of each set of three.

This effectively creates 14 “business” seats that at least mean you have plenty of shoulder room and can put your gear in the seat beside you (sharing the space with your neighbour).

As this is a fairly old plane, the seats are very basic, with merely a coat hook but no power points, no private screens (a tiny drop-down TV is all you get above the front row, but no earphones) – it is in fact an old-style economy seat and nothing more.

The work table was in the armrest and was small and bouncy, but serviceable.

The seat itself was fairly hard but fine for a short-haul trip of a few hours.

In fact the seats of both business and economy class are the same and have 18 inches width and 31 inches pitch.

14 business class seats are located in the first 4 rows.

Middle seats in business class are blocked.

So, passengers here enjoy more personal space. First row offers 2 seats.

The other 3 rows offer 4 seats here.

Passengers of the seats 1A, 1C and 2D, 2F will feel comfortable thanks to additional legroom.

Among disadvantages of these seats: reduced width (because the armrests are immovable), lack of floor storage during takeoff and landing and close location of the galleys.

Economy class offers 144 seats separated from each other with exit rows.

All the seats have 3-3 configuration.

First 6 rows of seats of economy class are located before first exit row.

All these seats are standard only the seats of the 10th row are not reclining because of the exit row located behind.

The seats of the 11th row are located between two exit rows.

That is why passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom but will not be able to use floor storage during takeoff and landing.

Another disadvantage of these seats is limited recline.

Extra legroom is a big advantage of the seats of the 12th row.

Thanks to this the seats 12BC and 12DE are considered the best seats.

However, the seats of the 12th row have no floor storage during take-off and landing but the seats 12A and 12F also don’t have window-side armrests.

The only disadvantage of the seats 27C and 27D is location of the lavatories behind.

The seats of the 28th row are considered bad seats because of limited recline and noise from the lavatories.
