MEA Middle East Airlines Fleet Airbus A330-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Middle East Airlines (ME) flies its Airbus A330-200 aircraft on long-haul routes.

All of its A320-200 aircraft are configured with 44 Business Class seats that transform into angled flat beds in Cedar Class and 200 standard Economy Class seats.

MEA’s A330s have a total of 44 angled business class seats, in a 2-2-2 configuration.

The 44 seats in business class (Cedar Class) are spread out in one single large cabin.

Qatar Airways has a similar open cabin style on its A350-900s without QSuite.

It’s interesting how they have a single business class cabin.

Rather than having a galley or bathrooms by the second set of doors where everyone boards, they instead just have a big open space, so all eight rows of business class are in a shared cabin.

This makes the cabin feel open and spacious, though also less intimate and private.

It also means that row five has an outrageous amount of legroom.

At each seat was a pillow and blanket.

There were no amenity kits or slippers, though each passenger did receive an alright pair of headphones.

MEA doesn’t have Wi-Fi on their planes, though each seat has a personal television.

The selection was quite limited, and just included a bit over a dozen movies, and a similar number of TV shows.

The food was plentiful and very tasty, and the crew were efficient, friendly and fun.

One downside is the layout of the MEA A330 cabin.

Bizarrely, MEA does not split its economy cabin on the A330 into two like most airlines, which creates one giant mega cabin.

And when you’re in the middle, you’re not close to crew service or toilets.

Air Arabia Fleet Airbus A320-200 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa operates 52 narrow-body aircraft Airbus A320-200.

This Airbus A320-200 are owned by Air Arabia Group, and operated by Air Arabia, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia Egypt, Air Arabia Jordan, and Air Arabia Maroc.

The latest A320 aircrafts come equipped with Shraklets, fuel saving large wing tip devices which reduce fuel burn and emissions by significantly improving the aerodynamics of the aircraft.

Air Arabia is the first carrier in the Middle East to fly these planes. 

Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low cost carrier, has signed a firm order for 120 Airbus aircraft comprising 73 A320neos, 27 A321neos and 20 A321XLRs.

The agreement was signed at the 2019 Dubai Airshow in the presence of Air Arabia’s Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani, Adel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer Air Arabia and Guillaume Faury, Airbus Chief Executive Officer.

All aircraft will feature a comfortable single-class cabin with one of the most generous seat pitches today.

Air Vanuatu Boeing 737-800 aircraft is outfitted with Boeing’s Sky Interior, large overhead bins, comfortable e-leather seats, and light interior colors.

Business Class

The business class section is tiny, with just eight seats in two rows of a 2-2 layout.

They’re 21 inches wide, 4 inches wider than in economy, and plenty of leg room; there’s 38 inches between the back of your seat and the one in front (economy has just 31).

Business Class passengers have a 30kg check-in allowance, with two pieces not exceeding 7kg for carry-on.

Business Class passengers on flights operated by Air Vanuatu will receive a four-course meal accompanied by their complimentary bar service.

Air Vanuatu Fleet ATR 72 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Air Vanuatu operates 2 turboprop aircraft ATR 72 (-500/-600).

The national flag carrier Air Vanuatu has started operations of its very first ATR 72-600.

The aircraft, leased from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), was recently delivered in Toulouse, France.

The Air Vanuatu ATR 72-600 aircraft is the newest turboprop in the fleet.

The aircraft are used on local service routes within the Vanuatu Islands. 

Thanks to the ETOPS 120 minutes capabilities (Extended Range Twin-engine Operations) of the ATR aircraft family, the new ATR 72-600 will be able to operate not only within the domestic network of the airline but to the surrounding territories of Fiji, New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands.

ATR is the only turboprop manufacturer proposing ETOPS-120 certification on its aircraft, thus substantially increasing the operational versatility of the aircraft on inter-island operations.
