Turkish Airlines Fleet Boeing 777-300ER Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Turkish Airlines operated 33 wide-body aircraft Boeing 777-300ER.

The 777-300ER (“ER” for Extended Range) is the B-market version of the -300.

Its higher MTOW and increased fuel capacity permits a maximum range of 7,370 nautical miles (13,650 km) with 396 passengers in a two-class seating arrangement.

The 777-300ER features raked and extended wingtips, a strengthened fuselage and wings and a modified main landing gear.

Its wings have an aspect ratio of 9.0.

It is powered by the GE90-115B turbofan, the world’s most powerful jet engine with a maximum thrust of 115,300 lbf (513 kN).

Following flight testing, aerodynamic refinements have reduced fuel burn by an additional 1.4%.

At Mach 0.839 (495 kn; 916 km/h), FL300, -59 °C and at a 513,400 lb (232.9 t) weight, it burns 17,300 lb (7.8 t) of fuel per hour, its operating empty weight is 371,600 lb (168.6 t).

Since its launch, the -300ER has been a primary driver of the twinjet’s sales past the rival A330 and A340 series.

Turkish Airlines Fleet Boeing 777-300ER Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-300ER wide-body aircraft features a two class configuration with 49 Business Class flat bed seats and 300 standard Economy seats.

The business class cabin is laid out in a 2-3-2 formation.

Obviously this isn’t ideal, but on a positive note, the legroom space for each seat is fantastic, with just three rows in my cabin (and four in the forward business cabin).

Storage options around the seat were good: a large ottoman at the foot of my area was great for stowing bags, shoes and larger items.

It also felt far more secure for keeping valuables.

Inside the ottoman were some slippers and a shoe bag to protect your own footwear.

There is also a magazine rack and a small pocket by the side of your seat.

A shared armrest and a small drinks tray was the most awkward part of the neighbouring seat design (aside from the window passenger having to step over their neighbour when reclined) however a divider did allow for separation to give some more privacy.

The seating controls offered numerous customisable options, though they were not the most straightforward.

The seat itself was very comfortable, with plenty of width and a lie-flat configuration with 177 degrees, so fairly close to fully-flat.

The economy cabin is arranged in a 3 – 3 – 3 configuration.

The economy seat had plenty of leg room, a fold-down footrest and a leather headrest that could be folded to support the neck. It had the fairly standard 32 inches of leg room.

The seat also came with USB power, an internet ethernet plug and a video cable port.

Business class offers 49 flat bed seats that have 177 degree recline.

These seats are divided into two sections.

First section has 4 rows of seats that have 2-3-2 configuration and the second section – 3 rows with the same configuration.

Location of the galley behind may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 4th row.

The second section of business class seats is located behind the exit row.

The noise from the galley and lavatories located behind may be bothersome for passengers’ of the seats of the 7th row.

Economy class consists of 300 standard seats that are located in three sections.

Most of the economy class seats have 3-3-3 configuration.

First section includes 6 rows of seats per 9 in each.

The seats of the 11th row have the following disadvantages: close location of the galleys and lavatories, reduced seat width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The main disadvantage of the seats 14A and 14K is no windows.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 16th row are less reclining than standard.

The second section of economy class seats has 16 rows of seats: 14 of them have 3-3-3 configuration and 2 rows contain 3 seats.

The seats 23DEG, 24ABC and 24HJK are considered the best seats because they offer extra legroom.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

In addition, the seats 24ABC and 24HJK are a little narrower than standard as the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable.

Close location of the galley will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 38DEG.

The last section of economy class seats offers 114 seats.

Thanks to the exit row in front passengers of the seats 40ABC and 40HJK will feel comfortable as these seats have extra space for their legs.

But these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing, have slightly reduced seat width and are located close to the galley.

The seats 42DEG are considered good seats as passengers of these seats will feel comfortable during the flight thanks to extra legroom.

Because of the curvature of the airplane the seats 49A and 49K have limited space for passengers’ legs.

As there are no seats behind, the seats 50C and 50H are often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.

Other passengers tend to gather in the area of the seats 52B, 52J and of the seats of the last 53th row while waiting to use lavatories thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats. Limited legroom makes the seats of the 53th row bad seats.
