Virgin Atlantic Fleet Airbus A330-200 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Virgin Atlantic operates 4 wide-body aircraft Airbus A330-200.

The first of Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-200 to join their fleet began operating from 01 March 2018.

“Daydream Believer” (G-VMNK) entered service first, with “Scarlett O’Hara” (G-VWND) and “Honky Tonk Woman” (G-VMIK) joining in the following weeks, and “Strawberry Fields” (G-VLNM) joining in spring 2018.

These are Virgin Atlantic aircraft, operated by their own pilots and world class cabin crew.

A quick reminder of the background to this saga:  is one of the airlines hardest hit by the engine problems which have befallen the Rolls-Royce powered Boeing 787-9 fleet.

When Air Berlin went bankrupt late last year, its A330-200 long-haul fleet was suddenly available for lease.

Virgin Atlantic jumped in and signed a four year deal on four aircraft.

This has allowed it to maintain its flying programme and, once the 787-9 issues are over, will even give it some interesting options for expansion.

This Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-200 configuration features 3 classes including Upper Class, Premium Economy, and Economy seating options.

All A330-200 aircraft are powered by two Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines.

• Love Suite – located in the centre of the cabin and ideal for couples or groups travelling and looking to dine and watch movies together 
• Solo Freedom Suite – Lets customers unwind and stretch out with direct aisle access  
• Solo Corner Suite – Provides customers with extra privacy and a great view

The 287 seater Airbus A330-200 offer a choice of 19 fully flat beds in Upper Class (with three unique new seat styles), 40 extra leg room economy seats, and 228 Economy seats – all with Zodiac inflight entertainment showing over 300 hours of films, TV shows and music.
