Qantas Fleet Boeing 737-800 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
Get ready for a whole new standard of domestic travel with greater levels of comfort and enhanced inflight entertainment options.
The seating arrangement consists of 12 Business and 162 Economy seats.
Selected B737-800 aircraft have full seatback screens for each passenger, while remaining B737-800’s are installed with inflight entertainment options to stream to your personal device via the Qantas Entertainment App.
Economy
Economy customers will experience a Marc Newson styled seat with 76.2cm (30in) pitch, 12.7cm (5in) recline and 43.7cm (17.2in) seat width.
On selected aircraft, seats also feature a 23cm (9in) seat-back inflight entertainment touchscreen, individual USB port, PC power access, four-way adjustable headrest and ergonomic cushions.
Business
The Business cabin has been designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind.
Business customers will enjoy Qantas’ Marc Newson designed seat, furnished in soft luxury leather with a 94cm (37in) seat pitch and up to 56cm (22in) width between arms.
On selected aircraft, seats also feature a 27cm (10.6in) in-arm inflight entertainment touchscreen, extendable leg rest with fold-out footrest, ergonomic cushions, cocktail table, PC power access and USB port.
Qantas’s 737-800 has 12 seats in the business class cabin, laid out in a 2-2 configuration.
The seats are furnished in soft leather and offer ample cushion and support, and the size is also reasonable with 37 inches (94cm) of pitch and 22 inches (56cm) of width between the arms.
That’s a good seven inches (17.8cm) more legroom and 4.8 inches (12cm) more width than seats in the economy class cabin, making upgrading a tempting proposition.

This version of Boeing 737-800 consists of 174 seats divided into two classes: business and economy.
Business class includes 3 rows of seats per 4in each.
All these seats are standard. Passengers of the seats of the 1st row will feel comfortable thanks to the extra legroom.
But the noise from the galleys and lavatory will cause discomfort.
Economy class may transport 162 passengers.
The best seats of the economy class are the seats of the 4th row as they offer extra space for passengers legs.
Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 12th row are less reclining than standard.
The seats of the 13th row have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.
But due to another exit row located behind these seats have limited recline.
Extra legroom makes the seats of the 14th row good seats.
Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 29C, 29D and of the seats of the last 30th row.
In addition the seats of the 30th row have limited recline.
That is why these seats are considered bad seats.
