Alaska Airlines Fleet Bombardier CRJ-700 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Alaska Airlines no longer flies Bombardier CRJ-700, but it’s operated by SkyWest Airlines.

Commercial use Bombardier Canadair CRJ-700 began in 2001.

For requirements of various airline companies 3 variants have been constructed: CRJ700 (with up to 68 passengers capacity), CRJ701 (up to 70 passengers) and CRJ702 (up to 78 passengers).

For all variants also exist modifications with increased flying range: ER (Extended Range) and LR (Long Range).

These bigger regional jets are operated by SkyWest Airlines and are primarily used for flights between Portland and Southern California.

Compared to previous generation CRJs, the CRJ-700 feels more spacious due to raised windows and a lowered floor level and offers leather seating.

Alaska Airlines Bombardier Canadair CRJ-700 operated by SkyWest Airlines with total passenger of 70 seats.

The seats configuration are divided into two sections.

First section consists of 12 rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration.

Alaska Airlines also offers an “ala carte” carry-on service on these flights for larger, roll aboard bags.

An agent will tag the bag and place it in the hold for customers.

Upon arrival, customer baggage will be returned to them planeside.

All seats of Canadair CRJ700 are of economy class.

First section consists of 12 rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 1st row will take advantage of extra legroom.

The noise coming from the galleys may cause discomfort.

Among other disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width as the tray tables are built-in the armrests.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 12th row are less reclining than standard.

Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located.

There are 5 rows of seats here.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 13th row offer extra legroom.

The seats 13B and 13D are considered the best seats.

Window-side armrests of the seats 13A and 13E are immovable which may cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Close location of the lavatories may represent a problem to passengers of the seats 17B, 17DE and 18AB. Also the seats 17DE and 18AB have limited recline.

That is why these seats are considered bad seats.
