Air Canada Fleet Boeing 767-300ER Details and Pictures. On current fleet, Air Canada operated 6 wide-body aircraft Boeing 767-300ER to serves their medium-long range routes.

With a length of almost 55 m and a wingspan of 47.6 m, the Boeing B767-300ER is capable of a cruising speed of 530 mph/851 km/h at 35,000 ft.

Its maximum range is 11,065 km/5,975 mi, while the maximum speed is 568 mph/913 km/h at 35,000 ft.

These twin-aisle aircraft can fly non-stop between Toronto and Tel-Aviv and are some of the most fuel efficient long-rang planes in operation.

They are used for both Trans-continental and Trans-Atlantic flights and there are four different models currently in use.

As you will not necessarily know which model you are flying on, it may be best to choose a “safe” seat, i.e. one that on all models is similar!

Air Canada Fleet Boeing 767-300ER Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Boeing 767-300ER version has 211 seats and two classes of service.

Onboard classes include: Business (Air Canada Signature Class) and Economy.

The business class cabin is configured with 24 seats in a single-cabin 1-1-1 herringbone layout where the A-seats face the aisle and the middle F-seats and the window K-seats face the other aisle (and each other).

Seats along the left side window have their own aisle, which offers more privacy, while seats on the right share an aisle.

If you are traveling alone, try to get the A side.

Those traveling with someone else should sit across the aisle from each other on the F-K side to facilitate conversation.

Seats are large, well-cushioned and very private. Headphones were (unusually) hardwired into the seats and could not be removed or replaced with personal headphones.

High walls between seats make conversation with seat mates difficult.

And due to the herringbone configuration, it’s tough to get a good view out the window.

The 767 is an older plane with smaller overhead bin space.

These bins could barely accommodate a standard rollaboard carryon turned sideways.

Since Air Canada plans to replace these old birds with new 787s, its unlikely that overhead bins will be replaced before they are retired.

Nonetheless, there was no problem fitting all passenger carryons in the space provided.

Compared to the new Executive Pod, the herringbone seats are very narrow, there is limited storage around the seat and zero privacy.

There is a small space under the footrest which is only big enough to store your shoes or a small bag.

There is a small cut-out next to the seat, in front of the life jacket compartment, which is too small to store anything.

On the other side, there is a literature pocket, water bottle and a shelf.

Signage clearly instructs you not to store anything on the air vents that are located directly behind your seat.

The seat converts to a flatbed and even when you are laying down there are still passengers sitting across from who you can look straight in at you as you sleep.

There are two lavatories at the front of the cabin.

Air Canada Fleet Boeing 737 Max 8 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Air Canada has configured the aircraft with 16 recliner-style Business Class seats and 153 standard Economy Class seats.

54 seats are designated as Preferred offering additional legroom plus priority boarding that may be selected for an additional fee or selected free depending on fare and/or Altitude status).

Air Canada has now revealed the seatmap and specifications for their 737 MAX 8:

  • The 737 MAX 8 will have 16 business class seats and 153 economy class seats
  • Economy class seats will feature 30″ of pitch and 18″ of width
  • Business class seats will feature 38″ of pitch and 21″ of width
  • There will be a personal television at every seat (as a point of comparison, American has decided to eliminate personal televisions on their newest planes), as well as wifi

Air Canada’s configuration is identical to United’s 737-800s up until the exit row — United also has 16 first class seats, and then nine rows of extra legroom economy seating, including the two exit rows (that’s a lot of preferred seats).

However, Air Canada manages to squeeze in an extra three seats in the back behind the exit row, though that seems to be accomplished by putting the bathrooms at the very back, rather than in front of the rear exits.

In other words, the galley space will be smaller and cabin will be bigger.

Most of Air Canada’s narrowbody fleet presently has at least 31″ of seat pitch, so this is a downgrade in terms of personal space.

However, with seat design changing, airlines are often able to reduce pitch with materially reducing legroom.

Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 737 MAX 8 7M8 Air Canada
Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 737 MAX 8 7M8 Air Canada

Boeing 737 Max 8 operated by Air Canada may accommodate 169 passengers.

Passengers may choose from two classes: business and economy.

First 4 rows of seats are business class seats.

These seats have 2-2 configuration.

The seats of the 1st row are located at the bulkhead.

These seats have some disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, location of the entertainment display on the bulkhead and noise from the galley and lavatory located in front.

Economy class may accommodate 153 passengers.

The seats of the rows 12-20 are designated by Air Canada as Preferred seats.

These seats offer extra space for passengers’ legs and priority boarding.

However, even some of the preferred seats have disadvantages.

So, the seats of the 12th row have the following disadvantages: limited legroom, reduced width, no floor storage during take-off and landing.

In addition, the seats 12A and 12F have no windows, that is why these seats are considered bad seats as well as the seat 16A.

The only disadvantage of the seats 17A and 17F is misaligned window.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 18th row have limited recline.

The seats of the 19th row are located between two exit rows.

That is why passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to the additional legroom but limited recline because of the exit row located behind may be bothersome.

The best seats of the economy class are the seats of the 20th row because these seats offer extra legroom to passengers.

Location of the galleys and lavatories behind may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 36C, 36DEF and 37ABC.

Limited recline, reduced personal space when the seats in front are reclined make the seats 36DEF and 37ABCbad seats.

This aircraft features seat back televisions and audio at each seat, even for short domestic services.

Passengers should bring their own headphones to avoid a potential $3CAD charge.

The 27 business class seats are arranged in a herringbone configuration, in which every seat faces outwards openly into the aisle.

The layout is 1-1-1, with the “A” seats along the left-side windows having far more privacy than either the “F” seats down the middle or the “K” seats along the right-side windows, since you’re facing out against a divider rather than a fellow passenger.

The one-two-one configuration means everyone has aisle access.

There is good storage space underneath the ottoman at the foot of your seat and handy compartments for water bottles, reading matter, phones and spectacles in the arm rests, where you’ll also find the remote control, headphone jack, USB and power adapter.

There’s no turn-down service, but controls are easy to use, converting the seat into a 203cm (six foot, seven inches) flat bed at one touch.

You can adjust the firmness of the mattress, as well as the lumbar support and headrest height.

The in-seat massage function got a good work-out during the 14-hour flight.

Mattress cover and a light doona and large pillow are provided, along with slippers but no pajamas, so if you are planning on sleeping for most of the flight consider packing something sleep-friendly in your cabin bag.

Amenity packs include the basics – socks, earplugs, eye mask (you’ll need them if you’re in row 1 near the brightly lit galley and bathroom), toothbrush, lip balm and hand cream by Vancouver-based aromatherapy brand, Vitruvi – you’ll find their products in the bathroom too, which also has a large window with a great view.

The large fixed-screen TV has a remote control as well as a touch-screen menu.

There’s a variety of new releases with a wide range of language options – if you like French movies you’ll love the selection – as well as classics, binge-worthy TV series, audio books and podcasts, mostly on travel destinations.

The save function means you can build a list to watch during the flight.

The noise-cancelling headphones deliver crisp sound and the inflight map is displayed at the bottom of the screen, so you can check your progress without interrupting the show.

The Premium Economy configuration on Air Canada’s 330 is 2-3-2.

The seats are wide and there’s plenty of space between rows.

Each seat also has a foot rest, excluding the bullhead ones.

The addition of the footrest makes it a little easier to sleep in a reclining mode.

Each seat also comes with a designated power charger – and you don’t have to share one with the person next to you.

This airplane may transport 265 passengers in two classes.

This version is the most common among two versions operated by Air Canada and is used during long-haul transcontinental flights to Europe.

Business class consists of 37 open suites that are located in 2 sections.

First section has 9 rows of seats per 3 in each.

All A seats of the business class have more privacy as they face a part of the aisle and not the seat of another passenger.

Proximity of the lavatory and galley may represent a problem for passengers of the seats of the 1st row.

The seats 9A and 9K are considered bad seats as they have no windows and close location of the galleys may be bothersome.

However passengers of these seats will fell more privacy as there are closets here that are adjacent to these seats.

The second section contains remaining 10 open suites of the business class.

The seat 10A has the following disadvantages: there is no windows here, the closet, galley and main boarding door are located too close to this seat.

Close location of the lavatory will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 11G and 11K.

Economy class may transport 228 passengers.

The seats in the economy class are also divided into two sections.

First sections contains 13 rows of seats, most of them have 2-4-2 configuration.

The seats of the 18th row are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats that may be chosen by any passenger for additional fee.

Elite members may reserve these seats free of charge.

Passengers of the seats 18AC and 18HK may take advantage of extra knee space but not necessarily for the legs.

All the seats of the 18th row have basinet location that is why passengers with babies are often seated here.

The seats 18DEFG are often bumped by other passengers passing by and service carts because of the alignment of these seats.

Close location of the lavatories may cause discomfort for passengers of the seats 29DEFG and of the 30th row.

Also these seats may be less reclining because of the bulkhead located behind.

The second section of economy class is located behind exit row and begins with the seats that are designated as preferred seats, these are the seats 34DEFG and the seats 35AC and 35HK.

These seats may be reserved by elite members free of charge, other passengers will have to pay extra fee for these seats.

Other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories and this fact may cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

At the same time passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom.

The seats 34DEFG also have extra space for the knees.

However, passengers with infants are often seated here as these seats have bassinet location.

All D seats of this section have restricted storage and leg room due to presence of entertainment equipment here.

As there are no seats behind the seats 45D and 45G are often bumped by other passengers passing by and service carts.

Legroom of the seats 46DFG is limited as they are misaligned with the row in front.

Proximity of the lavatories ad galleys will represent problem for passengers of the seats 49DFG and for passengers of the last 51st row.

Second version of Airbus A330 is used also during short domestic flights.

This airplane offers seats of three classes: business, premium economy and economy.

Business class consists of 27 open suites with 180 degrees recline.

Business class occupies first 9 rows of seats that have 1-1-1 configuration.

All these seats can be transformed in a fully bed.

The noise from the galleys and lavatories located in front may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 1st row.

Air Canada Airbus A330 300 Business class inflight meal food Light meal cold plate with lemon and thyme chicken cherry tomato salad and arugula

The seats of the 9th row have the same disadvantage – location of the galleys behind.

Behind the seats of the business class 21 seats of premium economy class are located.

These seats have 7 inches recline.

When this airplane is used during the flights within North America these seats are designated by Air Canada as standard economy class seats.

The seats of the 12th row are considered good seats as they provide extra legroom.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing and are a little narrower than standard because the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable.

Economy class may accommodate 244 passengers on the seats that have 4 inches recline.

The seats of the economy class are divided into 2 sections separated from each other with an exit row.

First section consists of 15 rows of seats.

There are totally 116 seats here.

Most of these seats have 2-4-2 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 18th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats are considered good seats.

Among disadvantages of these seats: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and slightly reduced seat width.

For passengers traveling with infants the seats 18DEFG offer bassinet location.

Limited recline and location of the lavatories behind are the main disadvantages of the seats 31DEFG, 32AC and 32HK.

Second section of economy class seats consists of 18 rows with totally 128 seats.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats 34DEFG, 35AV and 35HK offer extra space for passengers’ legs.

Air Canada Airbus A330 300 Business class inflight meal food Appetizer smoked salmon Fregola salad creme fraiche with lime
Air Canada Airbus A330 300 Business class inflight meal food Appetizer smoked salmon Fregola salad creme fraiche with lime

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing, are a little narrower than standard because the tray tables are in the armrests.

Other passengers tend to gather in the area of these seats and of these seats while waiting to use lavatories causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

The seats 34DEFG offer bassinet locations for passengers traveling with babies.

Protrusion of the exit doors inside is one more disadvantage of the seats 35A and 35K.

Due to awkward transition of the middle seats of the rows 45-46 from 4 to 3 the seats 45D and 45G are often bumped by service carts and other passengers passing by.

Noise from the galleys and lavatories located behind may represent problem to passengers of the seats 49DFG, 50C, 50H, 51AC and 51HK.

Another disadvantage such as limited recline makes the seats 49DFG, 51AC and 52HK bad seats.

This version is configured with Premium Rouge in Rows 1-4.

Premium Rouge is Air Canada Rouge’s Short Haul Business Class product.

In Rouge Premium there were only 8 seats in a 2-2 configuration.

In economy it was a 3-3 configuration.

The seats had a power plug and USB port in front of the center arm rest.

With 37″ of pitch, 5″ of recline and 21 inches of width the Premium Rouge seats compare similar to Air Canada’s Business Class on their Airbus narrow-bodies and US carriers domestic First Class.

All entertainment is through wireless streaming to your own device or these iPad’s.

The iPad tablets are free for Premium Rouge passengers and can be rented for a $10 fee in Economy.

There is no charge for accessing the IFE with your own device in any cabin.

Despite having the ability to stream this entertainment, Wi-Fi was not available onboard.

Airbus A321-200 Air Canada Rouge may accommodate 200 passengers in two classes: Premium rouge and Economy class.

Premium Rouge class may transport 16 passengers.

It contains 4 rows of seats per 4 in each.

The seats of the 1st row have the following disadvantages: proximity of the lavatory and galley, reduced width of the seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Economy class seats are divided into rouge plus seats and economy class seats.

These seats are located in three sections.

Passengers of the seats of 12th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats belong to rouge plus class and are considered the best seats.

There are 4 seats in the 16th row.

Windows’ seats are missing.

The seats 16BC and 16DE are less reclining than standard because of the exit row located behind.

The seats of the 17th row are the seats of rouge plus class.

These seats have extra space for passengers’ legs thanks to the exit row in front.

The seats of the 30th row are located in front of another exit row that is why have limited recline.

The other seats that belong to rouge plus are the seats 31ABC, 31DEF and 32DEF.

As all seats of these class these seats are considered the best seats as they have extra legroom.

Presence of lavatories in the tail of the airplane makes passengers congregating in this area while waiting to use them.

This fact may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 42ABC, 42D and 43EF.

In addition, the seats 42ABC and 43EF may be less reclining but the seat 42D is often bumped by other passengers passing by as there is no seat behind.

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A321-200 Details and Pictures

Air Canada narrowbody aircraft Airbus A321 200 C GIUF as viewed from Vancouver International Airport

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A321-200 Details and Pictures. Air Canada operated 15 brand new aircraft from A320 family, its Airbus A321-200.

This aircraft is more modern and advanced than Airbus A320-200 and Airbus A319-100.

Airbus launched the A321-200 development in 1995 which has a full-passenger transcontinental US range.

This is achieved through higher thrust engines (V2533-A5 or CFM56-5B3), minor structural strengthening, and an increase in fuel capacity with the installation of one or two optional 2,990 L (790 US gal) tanks in the rear underfloor hold.

The additional fuel tankage increases the total capacity of this model to 30,030 L (7,930 US gal).

These modifications also increased the maximum takeoff weight of the A321-200 to 93,000 kg (205,000 lb).

This variant first flew in December 1996, and entered service with Monarch Airlines in April 1997.

Its direct competitors include the 757–200 and the 737-900/900ER.

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A321-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Air Canada operated 2 version of Airbus A321-200 cabin configuration.

Business class seats are in 2-2 configuration spread over 4 rows.

On the seat was a small pillow.

Legroom was good with a legrest fitted at the base.

Old entertainment system meant small screens even though the plane has the new livery.

Perhaps Air Canada should re-look at what is important to passengers and re-furbish their ageing interiors instead of spending them on the outside look which has no big problem in the first place.

First version of Airbus A321 operated by Canada Airlines is the most common.

It may transport 183 passengers in 2 classes.

Business class consists of 4 rows of seats, first row has 2 seats, the seats in other three rows have 2-2 configuration.

The only disadvantage of the seats 2AC is less space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position.

There are 169 standard seats in the Economy class.

The seats of the 12-17th rows are considered preferred seats.

These seats may be reserved by elite members free of charge.

Other passengers will have to pay extra fee to choose these seats.

The seats of the 12th row are considered the best seats as these seats have extra legroom.

Passengers of these seats are first to be served and disembark.

The seats of the 16th row are located behind the exit row.

That is why passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, these seats are narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Passenger of the seat 17D will feel comfortable as there is no seat in front.

At the same time there is no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Close location of the lavatory may represent problem for passengers of the seats 27C, 27DEF and 28AB.

The seats 27DEF are not reclining but the seats 28AB may have limited recline.

The last 12 rows of Economy class are located behind another exit row.

All the seats here have 3-3 configuration.

The seats of the 29th row are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats that may be reserved for additional fee.

Elite level members may reserve these seats with no additional charge.

These seats are considered best seats due to extra legroom.

Passengers tend to gather in the tail of the airplane in order to visit lavatories and it may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 39C and 39D and of the seats of 40th row.

In addition the seats of the 40th rowmay have limited recline.

This version of Airbus A321 offers 185 seats of two classes: business and economy.

Business class consists of 16 recliner seats that are located in 4 rows per 4 in each.

Due to position of the bulkhead the legroom of the seats of the 1st row is restricted a little.

Close location of the galley and lavatory may cause discomfort as well.

Economy class offers 169 standard seats divided into three sections.

First section consists of 4 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

First 2 rows in this section, i.e. the seats of the 12-13th rows are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats to reserve which an extra fee must be paid.

Only Elite level members of Air Canada may choose these seats free of charge.

The seats of the 12th row have the following disadvantages: curtain located in front that separates these seats from the seats of business class.

As the tray tables are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 15th row are less reclining than standard.

Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located.

This section contains 13 rows of seats.

The seats of the rows 16-17 are designated as preferred seats to book which an extra charge must be paid.

These 2 rows offer 11 seats.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 16th row have extra legroom.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Protrusion of the exit doors inside may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 16A and 16F.

Passengers of the seat 17D will take advantage of additional space for their legs.

This seat is considered good seat but as the tray table and video displays are in the armrests the width is slightly reduced.

Congregation of passengers may cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats 27C, 27DEF and 28AB because lavatories are located here.

As there is no seat behind the seat 27C is often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.

The seats 28AB are less reclining than standard due to exit row located behind.

The third section consists of 12 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

The seats of the 29th row are designated as preferred seats to reserve which and extra charge must be paid.

Elite level members of Air Canada may reserve these seats free of charge.

Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to additional space for their legs.

Among disadvantages: reduced width of the seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Protrusion of the exit doors inside slightly reduce the extra legroom of the seats 29A and 29F.

The noise from the galley and lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 39C, 39D and the seats of the 40th row.

Limited recline makes the seats of the last 40th row bad seats.

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A320-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Airbus A320-200 aircraft features seat back televisions and audio at each seat, even for short domestic services.

Passengers should bring their own headphones to avoid the $3CAD charge.

There is no bulkhead separating the business class cabin from economy, but rather just a thin curtain that does little to block noise.

The touch-screen controlled system offered a decent selection of movies, TV-shows, music and a map.

Also present was a universal power supply, a USB port, and a headphone jack in the armrest.

The seat is fairly standard for North American ‘premium cabin’ at 21 inches wide with 38 inches of pitch.

Pillows were waiting upon boarding and the crew came around with pre-departure beverages as the cabin filled up.

There is no bulkhead separating the business class cabin from economy, but rather just a thin curtain that does little to block noise.

The touch-screen controlled system offered a decent selection of movies, TV-shows, music and a map. While I personally don’t follow TV series, some readers may be reassured to know that Air Canada has a significant HBO offering.

Also present was a universal power supply, a USB port, and a headphone jack in the armrest.

Economy seat measured a standard 18 inches, offered an immobile headrest, and with 31-33″ pitch, was spacious enough.

Air Canada Airbus A320-200 may transport 146 passengers in two classes.

Business class has 14 seats.

The seats of the 1st row have a little more legroom.

However, some passengers consider the bulkhead wall quite restrictive.

Also there is no floor storage for these seats.

Passengers of the seats 2A and 2C have a little more space for their legs.

Under the closet located in front of these seats there is a small space where passengers may store their bags.

Touch screens of personal TVs are difficult to be reached.

Economy class includes 120 seats.

The seats of the rows 12-15 and the seats 17A and 17F are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats.

All these seats may be chosen by any passenger for additional charge.

Elite level members may choose these seats free of charge.

Personal TV of the seats 12B and 12E are built-in the armrests which may be uncomfortable for passengers of these seats.

The seats of the 15th row are less reclining as exit row is located behind.

Passengers of the seats of 16th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, these seats are not reclining and have no windows.

It can get cold by the exits during the flight.

Passengers of the seats 16B and 16E will enjoy extra space and privacy due to missing windows seats.

The seats 17A and 17F have a lot of space for passengers’ legs as there are no seats in front.

However, these seats are a little narrower than standard.

The best seats in economy class are the seats 17BC and 17DE.

These seats have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.

Close location of the galley and lavatories may represent a problem for passengers of the seats 28C, 28D and of the seats of 29th row.

The seats of the last 29th row are in addition less reclining and have a little less seats pitch.

That is why these seats are considered bad seats.
