Index of TAP Air Portugal aircraft fleet. The country’s flag carrier, TAP Air Portugal (TP) Transportes Aéreos Portugueses was founded in 1945. It operates from a primary hub at Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS) and a secondary hub at Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO). A member of the Star Alliance, TAP Portugal flies to more than 75 destinations in over 29 countries across Europe, Africa, North America and South America. Of these, nine are domestic destinations. TAP Air Portugal Fleet Airbus A330-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

TAP Air Portugal operates 3 cabin versions of Airbus A330-200.

Version 1 features 24 angled flat seats in Business Class and 239 standard Economy seats.

Version 2 features 24 angled flat seats in Business Class and 244 standard Economy seats.

Version 3 features 20 angled flat seats in Business Class and 251 standard Economy seats.

TAP’s new business class is a huge improvement over their old product.

The cabin consisted of a total of 25 seats, spread across six rows (the first row had just two seats).

Rows alternated between having four and five seats.

This is a staggered fully flat configuration, meaning that the footwell for one seat is to the side or inbetween the seats in front.

On the left side of the cabin you have just one seat along the windows in each row, while on the right side of the cabin you have three rows with two seats, and two rows with one seat.

These three seat pairs are the only ones where you don’t have direct aisle access from every seat.

The center section has two seats per row.

First version of Airbus A330-200 operated by TAP Portugal is the most common among three versions.

This airplane offers 263 seats of two classes: executive and economy.

Executive class may accommodate 24 angle-flat seats that are located in the first 4 rows that have 2-2-2 configuration.

The noise from the galleys and lavatories located in front of the seats of the 1st row and beside the seats of the 4th row will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Economy class consists of 239 standard seats that are located in two sections.

First section contains 16 rows of seats: 15 rows have 2-4-2 configuration and 1 row contains 4 seats.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 11th row is close location of the galleys and lavatory.

Congregation of passengers in the area of the seats 25B, 25DEFG, 25H, 26AB and 26HJ while waiting to use lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Second section of economy class seats is located beside the exit row.

Passengers of the seats 27DEFG, 28AB and 28HJ will take advantage of extra space for their legs.

However, location of the lavatories behind may be bothersome.

As there no seat behind the seat 37D is often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.

The seats 41AB, 41HJ and 42EFG are considered bad seats because of limited recline and close location of the galleys.

This airplane is used during medium and long-haul routes.

There are 248 seats in this version of Airbus A330-200: 24 in the executive class and 244 in the economy class.

First 4 rows of seats have 2-2-2 configuration.

These angle flat seats are the seats of executive (business class).

Location of the galleys and lavatory in front will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 1st row as well as the galleys and lavatory located behind the seats of the 4th row may be bothersome.

Economy class may transport 244 passengers. Most of the seats of the economy class have 2-4-2 configuration.

The noise from the galleys and lavatory located in front will cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats of the 11th row.

Passengers tend to gather in the area of the seats 27B, 27DEFG, 27 H, 28AB and 28HJ in order to visit lavatories thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats 29DEFG offer extra legroom.

However, these seats are less reclining than standard or not reclining at all and are located close to lavatories.

The best seats of the economy class are considered the seats of the 30th row because these seats offer additional space for passengers’ legs.

The seat 38D is often bumped by service carts and other passengers passing by due to missing seat behind.

Limited recline and location of the lavatories and galleys behind make the seats of the last 42nd row bad seats.

The third version of Airbus A330-200 may accommodate 271 passengers.

Executive (business) class offers 20 flat bed seats that are located in the first 5 rows and have 1-2-1 configuration.

The main disadvantages of the seats of the 1st row are: close location of the galleys and lavatory and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The noise from the galleys and lavatory located behind will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 5th row.

251 seats of the economy class are located in two sections.

First section of economy class contains 18 rows of seats: 17 rows have 2-4-2 configuration and one row with 4 seats.

The seats 6DEFG have the following disadvantages: restricted space for passengers legs, location of the galleys and lavatory in front, lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width.

Extra legroom makes the seats 7AC and 7HK the best seats.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 23rd row is location of the lavatories behind.

The second section of economy class is located behind the exit row.

Passengers of the seats of the 24th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs.

However proximity of the lavatories, reduced width and no floor storage will cause discomfort.

The seats 33D and 33G are bumped by crew members and other passengers passing by because these seats juts out into the aisle.

Close location of the galleys may represent a problem for passengers of the seats 36HK, 37D and 37G.

The noise from the galleys and lavatories located behind and limited recline make the seats 37AC, 37HK and 38DEG bad seats.

TAP’s A321neo business class cabin consisted of a total of 16 seats, spread across five rows.

In rows one, three, and five, seats are in a 2-2 configuration.

Then in rows two and four, seats are in a 1-1 configuration, consisting of what many of us call “throne” seats.

These are the seats to be in, thanks to just how much personal space they offer.

There’s no extra fee to assign these seats — they’re available first come first served.

TAP has the same business class seats on the A321neo that they have on their newest A330-200s (which is a good product, but not as good as their new A330-900neo business class).

The plane had new seats, and the legroom was solid, at least for intra-Europe business class (which is basically just economy with a blocked middle seat).

While other airlines install tray tables on the center seat in intra-Europe business class, TAP Portugal doesn’t, so from the appearance of the seat you really can’t tell whether it’s business class or not.

These seats have a pitch of 32-inch and a width of 22-inch, which is fine for a short-flight.

A big advantage of these seats is that there was a power point available to charge electronics via USB-cable, something you usually only see on long-haul Business class aircraft.

Depending on the demand this airplane may have maximum 42 executive seats and 164 seats of the economy class.

First 7 rows may be converted into executive seats.

These seats have 3-3 configuration.

All of them are standard only the seats of the 1st row have limited space for passengers’ legs and the noise from the galleys and lavatory located in front may be bothersome.

Economy class offers 164 standard seats, most of them have 3-3 configuration.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 9th row have limited recline.

Exit row located in front provides extra legroom for passengers of the seats 10BC and 10DE.

Thanks to missing seats in front passengers of the seats 11A and 11F will feel comfortable.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 22nd row is limited recline.

Passengers of the seats 23BC and 23DE will take advantage of extra legroom.

The seats 24A and 24F offer additional space for passengers’ legs.

However, these seats have no windows.

Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 34C and 34D and of the seats of the 35th row while waiting to visit lavatories and thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

This version of TAP’s A230 had 114 seats in economy in a 3-3 configuration.

Business class had exactly the same seats but with the middle seat blocked off.

The economy seats, which had a pitch of 30 inches and a width of 18 inches, seemed fairly wide, though they were tight on legroom.

As is the norm on intra-Europe flights, the size of the business class cabin is flexible thanks to the seats being (mostly) identical, and they just move the curtain with each flight based on how full the cabin is.

Depending on the demand this airplane may either transport only passengers of economy class or have maximum 42 executive seats.

Executive seats are located in the first 7 rows per 6 seats in each.

The main disadvantages of the seats of the 1st row are: limited space for passengers legs and location of the galleys and lavatory in front.

Economy class consists of 21 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 9th row are less reclining that standard.

Due to location of the seats of the 10th row between two exit rows these seats offer extra legroom to passengers and at the same time have limited recline.

Passengers of the seats of the 11th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats are considered the best seats.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 14th row is the fact that these seats are not reclining at all.

Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 27C, 27D and 28ABC, 28 DEF in order to visit lavatories located behind and thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

In addition the seats of the last 28th row are less reclining or not reclining at all that is why these seats are considered bad seats.

TAP Air Portugal Fleet Airbus A319-100 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

TAP Air Portugal operates 2 cabin versions of Airbus A319-100.

TAP Air Portugal flies the A319 in a two class configuration with 8 Business Class seats and 132 Economy Class seats.

The middle seats in Business Class are not sold by TAP Air Portugal to provide additional room in Business Class.

TAP Portugal adjusts the number of Executive Class seats based on demand.

Therefore Executive Class can have as little as no seats and as many as 60, as shown here.

TAP claims to offer a 33 inch business class seat pitch on its entire A319 / A320 / A321 short-haul fleet.

This applies to the first 7-10 rows, depending on aircraft type, so economy passengers in the front of the cabin will also benefit if there is only a small business class section.

This is substantially more attractive than the current British Airways Club Europe pitch of 30 inches.

In the middle and back of the cabin it drops to 30 inches to match BA.

The middle seats are not sold in order to provide additional space to passengers of the business class.

The seats of the 1st row have the following disadvantages: limited space for passengers legs, reduce width, location of the galleys and lavatory in front and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Economy class may accommodate 132 passengers.

The seats of the economy class are divided into two sections.

First section contains 7 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 3rd row will take advantage of extra legroom.

But curtain divider between the economy and business class may be bothersome.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 9th row these seats are less reclining that standard.

Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located.

This section has 15 rows of seats per 6 in each.

The seats of the 10th row are considered the best seats because they offer additional space to passengers’ legs.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Lavatories and galley located behind will cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats 23C, 23D and to passengers of the 24th row.

Because of the limited or no recline the seats of the last 24th row are considered bad seats.

This version of Airbus A319-100 may transport 126 passengers.

This airplane may either have only seats of economy class or seats of two classes: executive and economy depending on demand.

So, the airplane may have maximum 60 seats in the executive class.

Maximal number of the rows in executive class is 10.

These rows are located in two sections.

First sections contains 8 rows.

The seats of the 1st row have limited space for passengers’ legs and are located close to the galleys and lavatory.

The best seats on this airplane are considered the seats of the 9th row due to extra legroom that these seats offer.

Location of the lavatories and galley behind will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 21C and 21D and for passengers of the seats of the last 22nd row.

Limited or no recline make the seats 22ABC and 22DEF bad seats.
