Fiji Airways Fleet Airbus A330-200 Details and Pictures. Fiji Airways operates 5 wide-body aircraft Airbus A330-200 from Fiji to Australia, New Zealand, China, and the United States.

Fiji Airways took delivery of its first A330-200 in 2013 to coincide with its rebranding efforts from Air Pacific to its original name Fiji Airways strengthening the national airlines position as the flag barrier of the Fiji Islands.

The aircraft was a landmark acquisition for the airline being the first ever owned wide-body airplanes.

Currently, Fiji Airways is returning its two leased A330-200 aircraft, Island of Beqa (registered DQ-FJO) and Island of Vatulele (registered DQ-FJP), a few months ahead of its end of lease.

The two aircraft joined Fiji Airways fleet in May and July 2018 as part of a short-term lease from the lessor.

The aircraft will fly back to Abu Dhabi and their lessor, Etihad Airways.

Fiji Airways Fleet Airbus A330-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Fiji Airways Airbus A330-200 has 273 seats in a 2-class configuration.

There are 12 seats in Business Class and 249 seats in Economy Class.

While the business class cabins on all Fiji Airways A330 planes are identical, there’s more room between the first and second door on the A330-300 version (since it’s stretched), so Fiji Airways puts a small economy cabin there with three rows of seats.

Fiji Airways A330-200 Business Class

24 Business Class seating in a 60″ pitch, lie flat 8 degree bed, in-seat video with 15.4” monitors, in-seat power and entertainment on demand.

The A330-200 ends up with business class taking all the space between doors one and two while on the A330-300, there are two rows of economy class behind business class.

However, in both configurations, there are two lavatories by the boarding door and one lavatory at the front of the plane.

This means that, on the A330-200, the passenger to bathroom ratio is much better for business class passengers.

Fiji Airways A330-200 Economy Class

249 Economy Class seating in a 31-32″ pitch, 6″ recline, in-seat video with 9” monitors, in-seat USB power and entertainment on demand.

The economy section of the aircraft is broken up into a configuration of 2-4-2 for the most part, with five rows at the back of the plane offering 2-3-2 configuration.

Fiji Airways has clearly put some thought into travelling families with an entire section of the entertainment offering dedicated especially to the young flyers.

Kid’s Club features a selection of movies, TV shows, music and games.
