Jetstar Fleet Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This 787-8 aircraft operates in a two-class configuration with 21 seats in Business Class and 314 seats in Economy Class.

There are just 21 seats in the business cabin, in three rows.

The seats are in a 2-3-2 layout offering 38 inches (97 cm) of pitch and 19 inches (48 cm) of width.

Waiting for you on your seat when you board will be your amenity kit, a pillow, blanket, and your noise-canceling headphones.

There is a small, fixed tray-table in between all the seats and the main tray-table can be accessed via a flap in the armrest.

Seat controls and headphone ports can be found just under the fixed tray-table between the seats.

The Inflight Entertainment (IFE) remote and power can also be found on the front of the armrests between the fixed tray-table and the floor.

While Jetstar calls it business class, it’s what a full-service airline would call premium economy.

Nevertheless, it’s a large, comfortable seat and there’s plenty of legroom.

The amenity kit is a cotton tote bag with wet wipes, hand cream, lip balm, toothbrush and paste, eye mask, ear plugs, socks, pen and an inflatable neck pillow.

A blanket and pillow is also provided.

For a low cost carrier, Jetstar’s 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft has some great features on economy class.

Modern, sleek, black leather seats also features adjustable headrest with additional padding for extra comfort.

Legroom is standard at 30 inch but decreases as the seat reclines so you will need to tweak the seat position to suit your needs.

Windows feature the revolutionary “window dimming’ function instead of window shades which is exclusive to the Boeing 787.

For take off and landing the Cabin Crew will set all windows to bright in line with policy.

All seats feature USB charging points for your personal electronic devices.

An 18 inch TV screen is located in the seat back of all economy seats.

Jetstar’s in flight entertainment system features a selection of the latest blockbusters, reality TV shows, games, something for the kids and information about your flight.

It’s sure to keep the family entertained for the duration of the flight

In the early stages of operation, this aircraft operates on Domestic routes.

From there this 787 expands its route network to international locations including Bali, Hawaii, Japan, Phuket, and Singapore.

This airplane may accommodate 335 passengers in two classes: business and economy.

First 3 rows represent seats of business class.

These seats have 2-3-2 configuration.

So, there are totally 21 seats here.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 1st row is lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 3AC are less reclining than standard.

The best seats of the business class are considered the seats 3G and 3J because these seats have extra recline and are often left for crew rest during long-haul flights.

Economy class may transport 314 passengers.

These sections are located in three sections.

First section offers 27 seats. As the tray tables of the seats of the 10th row are located in the armrests, these seats are a little narrower than standard.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Limited recline and close location of the lavatory and galley are the disadvantages of the seats 11GHJ, 12DEF and 13ABC.

Missing window make the seats 13ABC bad seats.

Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located.

There are 20 rows of seats them.

19 of them have 3-3-3 configuration and 1 row has 3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 23rd row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom.

However, these seats are a little narrower than standard, have no floor storage during take-off and landing and are located close to the lavatory and galley the noise from which may cause discomfort.

For passengers travelling with infants the seats 23DEF offer bassinet locations.

The main disadvantages of the seats 41DEF, 42ABC and 42GHJ are: limited recline and location of the lavatories behind.

The third section of economy class seats consists of 14 rows.

Passengers of the seats of the 44th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, congregation of passengers in front of these seats while waiting to use lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Among other disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width of the seats.

Missing windows make the seats 51A and 51J bad seats.

The windows of the seats 52A and 52J are misaligned.

For passengers travelling with a partner are ideal the seats 54AC, 54GH and 55AC, 55GH.

Due to curvature of the airplane the seats 54AC and 54GH may feel cramped.

Limited recline makes the seats 55AC and 55GH bad seats.

The seats of the last 57th row are considered bad seats due to location of the lavatories behind and limited recline.

Airbus A321 is narrow-bodied airplane intended for medium-haul airlines.

A321 represents elongated by 7 meters (44.51 meters) modification of A320 airplane.

As compared to other representatives of A320 family the assemble process of which takes place in Toulouse (France), A321 was decided to be assembled in Hamburg (Germany).

On the airplane more powerful engines and enhanced brake units have been installed.

Two versions of the airplane have been constructed: A321-100 and A321-200.

Jetstar Fleet Airbus A321-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Jetstar Airbus A321-200 has 220 seats in a one-class configuration.

It is used on short-haul domestic and international flights.

Seats are configured 3-3 throughout in an all-economy layout, with 29 inches of legroom.

Features include a simple grey leather upholstery, a small recline, a fold-down table, and a slot for magazines (but no stretchable pouch so finding somewhere to stash drinks bottles, gadgets, etc was tricky).

Seats are allocated for all customers, so there’s no need for the rush experienced with some other low-cost carriers – passengers can choose to pay to select a specific standard seat, or to opt for exit row seats, which on the A321 offer around eight inches of extra pitch.

Jetstar charges $7 for seats in the ‘standard’ sections which are from rows 7-10, 12-25 and 27-39 , $11 for an upfront seat (seats 1D, 1E, 1F and tows 2-6) and $14 for an extra legroom seat (seats 1A, 1B, 1C, row 11 and row 26).

The seats are all leather.

On the Airbus A321-200, the seat width is 17.8 inches with a seat pitch of only 29 inches.

Another configuration is seen on older Airbus A321-200s which is the same as this aircraft, just with 38 rows.

The Jetstar Airbus A321-200 seat pocket contained the safety card and inflight magazine, pretty standard.

However, Jetstar does not provide electronic means of entertainment on its domestic Airbus A320 Family aircraft, including the Airbus A321-200.

This airplane offer 220 standard seats of economy class.

The seats are divided into three sections divided from each other by exits rows.

First section consists of 10 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 1st row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats are considered the best seats.

However, the width of these seats is reduced a little as the tray tables are in the armrests and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 10th row are less reclining than standard.

Second section contains 14 rows of seats: 13 of them have 3-3 configuration and 1 row has 2-2 configuration.

Additional legroom is the main advantage of the seats 11BC, 11DE, 12A and 12F.

Among disadvantages of these seats: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width of the seats.

Limited recline is the main disadvantage of the seats of the 24th row.

The last section has 13 rows of seats.

Passengers of the seats of the 25th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom.

But these seats are a little narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats of the 37th row while waiting to use lavatories and thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Also these seats are less reclining than standard.

All of these factors make these seats bad seats.

Jetstar Fleet Airbus A320-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Jetstar Airbus A320-200 has 180 seats in a one-class configuration.

Jetstar has A320s with 180 seats, featuring 29″ of pitch, the same number of seats that Easyjet crams on their A320s.

It is used on short-haul domestic and international flights.

The cabin features a 3×3 layout with leather seats.

Exit row seats (1, 12 and 13) cost an extra THB515 ($22) for additional leg room however the space for seats 1D, E and F is reduced due to the position of the bulk head.

All seats on-board offer a 29-inch (74-centimetre) seat pitch.

Checked baggage allowance is dependent on the type of ticket purchased.

All passengers receive a 7kg carry-on allowance.

Blankets are handed out to some passengers but these need to be pre-booked before the flight.

There are three toilets (one at the front; two at the rear of the cabin).

There’s no entertainment or Wi-Fi offered so bring your own device pre-loaded with content and also bring headphones.

Seat Map and Seating Chart Airbus A320-200 Jetstar

Seat Map and Seating Chart Airbus A320 200 Jetstar
Seat Map and Seating Chart Airbus A320 200 Jetstar

This airplane may accommodate 180 passengers.

There are 30 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

As there are no seats in front the tray tables of the seats of the first row are built-in the armrests making them immovable and thus reducing the width of these seats a little.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

While the seats 1ABC have some extra space for passengers’ legs, the legroom of the seats 1DEF on the contrary is reduced because of the bulkhead located in front.

But extra legroom of the seat 1A is slightly reduced due to exit door protrusion.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 11th row are less reclining than standard.

Location of the seats of the 12th row between two exit rows on the one hand provided these seats with extra legroom but on the other hand these seats may be not reclining.

Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.

The seats of the 13th row are considered the best seats on this airplane because passengers of these seats will feel comfortable during entire flight thanks to extra legroom that these seats offer.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

No recline, missing windows and location of the lavatories behind make the seats of the last 30th row bad seats.

Air New Zealand Fleet Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Air New Zealand operates the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in a 3-class configuration on routes from Auckland to Perth, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Business Class features flat-bed seating equipped with memory foam mattresses, a duvet, and two pillows.

The Premium Economy on the 787-9 is not the ANZ Premium Economy “Spaceseat” product, but instead is manufactured by US Seat Designer, Zodiac, and is referred to as a “Business-lite” seat.

These seats have 9″ recline and a 5″ wide armrest.

In addition passengers in Premium Economy will have an integrated leg rest with extendable foot support and an adjustable winged head rest.

Economy Class is configured in a 9 abreast, 3-3-3, configuration with 263 slimline Economy Class seats with a flexible head rest.

Economy Skycouch seats are featured on this aircraft and are available for purchase at an additional cost.

Air New Zealand’s description states that the Economy Skycouch is a row of three Economy Class seats that together create a flexible space for whatever you want it to be – an area to relax and stretch out in, or for the kids to use as a play area.

The 787-9 includes all of the standard Dreamliner features – larger windows, higher humidity, a lower cabin altitude and cleaner air – but in its 302-seat configuration, it will be divided into four classes – Business Premier, Premium Economy, Economy Skycouch and Economy.

At the front end of the aircraft, passengers will be able to make use of lay flat beds, Premium Economy will offer a 41-inch seat pitch in customised seats designed by Zodiac, and in Economy, the customised, slim-line Zodiac Economy seat offers more space and a flexible headrest.

In between Premium Economy and Economy, there will be 14 rows of Economy Skycouch – Air New Zealand’s own seating design, which allows three seats to be converted into a single couch.

As for the in-flight entertainment (IFE) onboard the 787-9, Air New Zealand is again displaying its appetite for innovation, having opted for the Android-based Panasonic eX3 system.

Other carriers do offer Panasonic’s Android-based product – including Norwegian on its 787-8 Dreamliners, but Air New Zealand has gone a step further to ensure its offering has a unique spin.

This airplane may accommodate 302 passengers in three classes: 18 in the business class, 21 in premium economy and 263 in the economy class.

Business class seats are located in the first 6 rows per 3 in each of seats and have 180 degrees recline.

All these seats are standard.

Only the seats of the 1st row have such a disadvantage as proximity of the galley and lavatory.

Also these seats offer bassinet locations for passengers with babies.

Premium economy class consists of 3 rows of seats that have 2-3-2 configuration.

For passengers travelling with babies the seats of the 23rd row have bassinet locations.

263 seats of the economy class are divided into two sections.

First section consists of 16 rows of seats: 15 of them have 3-3-3 configuration and 1 row with 2 seats.

The main disadvantages of the seats 34JK and 35DEF are: location of the galleys and lavatory in front, reduced width of the seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Passengers travelling with infants are often seated here.

Passengers of the seats 35ABC will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, proximity of the lavatory and galleys, reduced width and lack of floor storage will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Also these seats offer bassinets.

As there is no seat in front the seat 35H gas extra space for passengers’ legs but at the same time this seat is often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.

ABC seats of the rows 36-43 as well as the seats HJK of the rows 36-41 when purchased together may be converted into Economy Skycouch by raising extendable foot rest and creating couch-like seat that gives additional personal room and comfort during long-haul flights.

Location of the lavatories behind and limited recline make the seats of the 49th row bad seats.

The second section of economy class seats has 16 rows.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the sears 50ABC and 50HJK provide passengers with extra legroom.

Among disadvantages: the noise from the galley and lavatories located in front, reduced width because the tray tables and TV are built-in the armrests making them immovable and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Close location of the galley, reduced width of the seats and no floor storage during take-off and landing are the main disadvantages of the seats 52DEF.

Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 63ABC, 63HJK, 64DEF and 65DEF while waiting to use lavatories and thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
