China Airlines Fleet Boeing 747-400 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

China Airlines operates passenger aircraft Boeing 747-400 with double cabin configuration, business (61 seats) and economy class (314 seats).

This configuration is refurbished version from the old layout.

The old cabin layout of China Airlines Boeing 747-400 including first class cabin.

The First Class 180-degree lie-flat beds are side by side and not in the more private individual pods installed in the latest third generation.

Business Class features older style recliners and does not have the lie flat beds many other airlines have installed.

Personal video screens are available in First and Business Class and are slowly being installed in Coach.

Coach has only average legroom, while many Asian airlines have two or three more inches of legroom in their long-haul Economy Class cabins.

The aircraft featured a two-class layout with 70 seats in business class, and 319 in economy.

Business class seats are arranged in either a 2-2 or 2-3-2 configuration, with all 24 on the upper deck being the former.

Business seats all face forward and are the angled lie-flat type.

But the size is generous with a 60-inch pitch and width of 19 inches.

There is a simple pull out tray table, an inflight entertainment unit, and a reading lamp located beside the headrest.

Unlike the growing number of carriers that have begun using touch screens, China Airlines still uses the conventional remote control set in the hand rest.

Seats on the upper deck are quieter as they are located further away from the engine.

Row 9 on the upper deck offers ample legroom, as there is a big gap between it and row 8.

Food is served from the back, so for those who do not wish to be frequently interrupted, the seats located at the back of each cabin should also be avoided.

Asiana Airlines Fleet Airbus A380-800 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Asiana Airlines flies their double-decker Airbus A380-800 in a three class configuration with 12 First Class closed suites, 66 Business Class flat bed seats, and 417 standard Economy Class seats.

Asiana Airlines’ first class is representative of understated luxury.

The cabin finishes can look plain, but the immense seat size, excellent catering, and sliding doors make for a private, delicious, and spacious ride to South Korea.

The A380 contains 12 First Class Suites in 3 rows with a 1-2-1 configuration.

The first class cabin is located at the front of the lower deck, unlike many A380 first class products.

The First Class Suites are luxurious and spacious.

Each of these A380 first class suites is 25.2 inches wide, 84 inches in pitch, and 81 inches long in bed mode.

These First Class Suites truly are made for the world’s biggest people, with an astonishing 84-inch pitch.

A380 and A350 has the same Business Smartium design.

Although these seats have the same design, the A380’s seats are slightly smaller at 21.3 inches wide, 80.4 inches in pitch, and 74.5 inches long in bed mode.

Since the A380 is such a large aircraft, it makes sense that there are more business class seats than on the A350.

There are a total of 66 business class seats, which split into 2 mini-cabins.

These Smartium Business seats are arranged in the same staggered 1-2-1 configuration.

You’d want to avoid seats in row 24, 11, and 7 due to their proximity to the galley and lavatories.

Each of the economy seats measures an astonishing 18.9 inches in width and 33 inches in pitch.

These 417 seats are some of the biggest economy seats in the business!

The configuration is relatively mixed, with one configuration being 3-4-3 and the other configuration being 2-4-2.

The best seats in the 3-4-3 level are 55A, 55K, 48D, and seats in row 30.

You’ll have much more legroom to stretch out in these seats.

You would necessarily want to avoid seats close to lavatories due to the noise and odor.

The economy seats on the upper deck in the A380 are in a 2-4-2 configuration.

Asiana Airlines Fleet Airbus A350-900 Details and Pictures

HL7578 Airbus A350 941 Asiana Airlines at San Francisco Airport

Asiana Airlines Fleet Airbus A350-900 Details and Pictures. Currently Asiana Airlines operates 8 extra-wide-body aircraft Airbus A350-900.

This aircraft configured with Business Smartium, Economy Smartium (premium), and Economy Class.

The A350-900 is the first A350 model, has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 275 tonnes, typically seats 325 passengers, and has a range of 8,100 nmi (15,001 km).

Airbus says that per seat, the Boeing 777-200ER should have a 16 percent heavier manufacturer’s empty weight, a 30 percent higher block fuel consumption, and 25 percent higher cash operating costs than the A350-900.

The −900 is designed to compete with the Boeing 777 and 787 (777-200ER/LR, Boeing 777-8, and Boeing 787-10), while replacing the Airbus A340-300 and A340-500.

Asiana Airlines Fleet Airbus A350-900 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Asiana’s A350-900 features a three class configuration with 28 flat bed Business Class seats, 36 Premium Economy seats with up to 3-4″ of added legroom, and 247 standard Economy Class seats.

Asiana’s A350-900 introduces their “Business Smartium” and “Economy Smartium” services.

Business Smartium is Asiana’s Business Class in-flight service that starts with a staggered seat layout, which provides direct aisle access from every seat.

Similar to Business Smartium; Economy Smartium on Asiana’s A350-900 provides enhanced comfort with 4 inches of extra legroom.

Passengers in this class have easy access to boarding as well as special inflight services that are available each flight.

Business class cabin consists of only 28 Business Smartium seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration across 7 rows.

Each of these seats is 22 inches wide and 77 inches in pitch and bed length.

The 28 seats are together in one cabin.

The odd-numbered rows have aisle seats on the side while the even-numbered rows have window seats on the side.

As a general rule of thumb, you want to be as far from the walkway as possible, so the best seats are even-numbered row seats.

We would recommend 6A and 6K because it’s located at the back of the cabin but not right in front of the galley.

Couples traveling together may like the honeymoon seats in even-numbered rows.

Just avoid the seats in the front, as they’re closest to the lavatories.

The A350’s premium economy cabin consists of 36 seats in a lackluster 3-3-3 arrangement.

These seats are 18 inches wide and 36 inches in pitch, which makes them only slightly larger than some airlines’ economy seats.

The lavatory and galley are located at the front of the premium economy cabin, so the best seats are likely to be in row 14 due to the increased privacy you’ll receive.

Compared to the 777-200’s seats, the A350 is slightly shorter.

Instead of having 33-34 inches in pitch, you’ll get 32-33 inches.

The width is the same at 18 inches.

The total economy cabin size consists of 247 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration.

There are a few optimal seats you can try to snag.

Seats 29B/C, 29H/J, 30A, and 30K are the best seats you’ll be able to get in Asiana’s A350 economy cabin.

You’ll have a lot of legroom to stretch out in.

Asiana Airlines Fleet Boeing 777-200ER Details and Pictures

HL7739 Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 28EER at Incheon International Airport

Asiana Airlines Fleet Boeing 777-200ER Details and Pictures. As part of long-haul aircraft fleet, Asiana Airlines operates 9 wide-body Boeing 777-200ER.

Developed in consultation with eight major airlines, the 777 was designed to replace older wide-body airliners and bridge the capacity difference between Boeing’s 767 and 747.

The B-market 777-200ER (“ER” for Extended Range), originally known as the 777-200IGW (increased gross weight), has additional fuel capacity and an increased MTOW for transatlantic routes.

With a 658,000 lb (298.46 t) MTOW and 93,700 lbf (417 kN) engines, it has a 7,065 nmi (13,084 km) range.

It was delivered first to British Airways on February 6, 1997.

Thirty-three customers received 422 deliveries, with no unfilled orders as of February 2018.

Asiana Airlines Fleet Boeing 777-200ER Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Boeing 777-200ER operated by Asiana Airlines confgured on three different layout.

First version configured with total 300 seats (22 business class, 278 economy class).

Second version configured with 301 seats (24 business smartium, 277 economy class).

And third version configured with total 302 seats (24 business smartium, 278 economy class).

The Asiana 777-200 Business Smartium seats are 20.2 inches wide, 80.4 inches in pitch, and 74.5 inches in bed length.

Basically, the 777-200 seats are the same length but are narrower than the A380 Business Smartium seats.

The 24 seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration across 6 rows

The lavatories are located at the front of the aircraft, so the most private seats will be located at the back of the business class cabin.

Window seats in row 6 are private but have a misaligned window. If you don’t mind that, then those will be the best seats.

The economy seats are each almost an inch narrower than those on the A380.

Specifically, the seat measures up at 18 inches wide and 33-34 inches in pitch.

There are a total of 271 seats configured (mostly) in a 3-3-3 arrangement.

There are a couple of ideal seats you can choose, but you’ll want to act fast because there aren’t that many.

The best seats to nab on the 777-200 are 11C, 30B/C, and 30H/J. 11C is missing a seat in front of it, so you can have tons of room to stretch your legs out.

Row 30 seats are exit row seats, which will afford you more legroom.

The downside of row 30 seats is that you’ll be very close to the lavatories.

Couples sitting together may also want to take seats 10A and 10B, which are bulkhead/bassinet seats.

Asiana Airlines Fleet Boeing 747-400 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Boeing 747-400 operated by Asiana Airlines configured with three class cabin.

On the main cabin, its configured with firsts class (Royale Business), business class, and economy class.

And on upper deck, its configured with business class only.

Total seating capacity on this Boeing 747-400 is 398 seats (10 first class royale business, 24 business class, and 364 economy class).

The 747 first class cabin on Asiana Airlines is located on the upper deck, in the nose.

This is a very private configuration, but because of the drastic difference in seat size, the 747 is the runner-up to the A380.

The 747 First Class Suites are significantly smaller at 21 inches wide and 78 inches in pitch and bed mode.

There are a total of 10 seats at the nose of the aircraft, 8 of which are window seats.

Solo travelers will love seats 1A and 1K for the absolute privacy they provide.

If you’re traveling with a partner, the only option you’ll have to sit next to one another is 4E and 4F.

Still, these seats are very private and enclosed, so you’ll have your own space together.

There are two separate mini-cabins of business class with each seat measuring 20.2 inches wide and 59-60 inches in pitch.

All 45 seats are angle-flat.

There are two seating configurations on the 747 in business class: 2-2 and 2-3-2.

If you manage to find yourself on the 747 flying Asiana Airlines business class, try your best to choose seats in row 10, which are the most spacious and have a reasonable amount of privacy.

The 304 standard seats on Asiana Airlines’ 747 are still a great choice for travelers in economy.

Seats will be significantly narrower at 17.1 inches wide and 33-34 inches in pitch.

The 747 cabin, for the most part, is arranged in a 3-4-3 configuration in economy.

However, there are several preferential seats you can take advantage of to make your in-flight experience better.

We’d suggest selecting 38B/C or 38H/J.

These seats have lots of extra legroom and are closer to the front of the aircraft so that you can board/deplane quicker.

Some other options include 30C, row 48, and 27A/B.

If you notice all of the extra legroom seats are taken, consider sitting somewhere with only 2 seats on each side, like rows 28 or 29.
