Lufthansa Fleet Boeing 747-400 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Lufthansa runs 2 versions of Boeing 747-400 jumbo-jet airplanes.

First version is configured with 53 flat bed Business Class seats, 32 Premium Economy Seats, and 308 standard Economy seats.

Second version is configured with 67 flat bed Business Class seats, 32 Premium Economy Seats, and 272 standard Economy seats.

The 747-4, features an interesting business class seating configuration.

Most seats are in a 2-3-2 configuration, which tapers down into a 2-2 configuration at other parts of the aircraft.

The best seat is 4D, which is a lone seat in the middle of the mini-cabin located at the nose of the upper deck.

If traveling with a companion, seats in row 1 will definitely appeal to you, as travelers love the privacy it affords.

There are 32 premium economy seats spread out in a 2-4-2 configuration across 4 rows.

The seat map looks the same as the 747-8, except that the galleys and lavatories are much closer to the premium economy cabin, which can result in some added noise and foot traffic.

For the simple reason that the lavatories and galleys are closer to the premium economy seats, we believe that the best seats are in row 27; specifically, seats 27A/C and 27H/K are great for solo and duo travelers.

Lufthansa 747-400 has 272 economy seats in a 3-4-3 configuration.

Each seat is 17.1 inches wide and 31 inches in pitch.

The seats are 0.2 inches narrower than the the A340-600 and 1.1 inches narrower than the A380.
