Premium Economy class has 3 rows of seats per 8 seats in each.

All these seats are standard only the seats of the 10th row have some peculiarities.

As the tray tables are in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Economy class seats are located in two sections.

The second section of economy class seats is located behind exit row.

The seats 35A and 35L have no windows, the legroom of these seats is restricted because of the protrusion of exit door.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 1st row is close location of the galley and lavatory.

For passengers with infants the seats 1E and 1F offer bassinets.

Next three rows of seats represent seats of economy class.

These seats have 2-4-2 configuration.

The tray tables of the seats of the 7th row are in the armrests making them immovable and reducing the seat width. In addition these seats have no storage during take-off and landing.

The other two rows are designated by Air France as Seat Plus to reserve which an extra fee should be paid.

Location of the galleys behind will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 9AB and 9KL.

Behind the exit row the other 4 rows of economy class seats are located.

Congregation of passengers in the area of the seats 12AB and 12KLas well as the noise from the lavatory located here may cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

As there are no seats in front the tray tables of these seats are built-in the armrests making them immovable are reducing the width of the seats.

Lack of storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.

As to the other 3 rows their seats are denoted as Seat Plus.

These seats are divided into 2 sections.

First section contains 9 rows of seats.

The seats of the first rows are considered the best seats.

Passengers travelling with babies are often seated on the seats of the 23rd row as these seats offer bassinet locations.

Also these seats have extra legroom providing additional comfort to passengers of these seats.

However, these seats have no storage during take-off and landing and are a little narrower than standard.

The main disadvantage of the seats of the 31st row is location of the lavatories behind.

Second section of economy class seats is located behind the exit row.

Due to the exit row located in front the seats of the 35th row have extra legroom.

However, location of the galley and lavatories in front of these seats, lack of storage during take-off and landing and reduced width of the seats may cause discomfort.

Extra legroom offered by the seats 36EFGH makes these seats good seats.

For passengers travelling with infants these seats offer bassinets.

Because of missing seats behind the seats 44C and 44J passengers tend to bump into these seats when passing by.

The noise from the galleys and lavatories located behind may represent problem to passengers of the seats 47B, 47E, 47H, 47K and the seats of the last 48th row.

Behind the seats of business class 3 rows of premium economy class seats are located.

These seats have 2-4-2 configuration.

So, there are 24 seats here.

Air France Fleet Airbus A340-300 Details and Pictures. Air France operated 2 wide-body aircraft Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

The Airbus A340 is a long-range, four-engine, wide-body commercial passenger jet airliner that was developed and produced by the European aerospace company Airbus.

With a service range of 7,400 nautical miles, Airbus’ A340-300 is tailored to meet the needs of the 275-300-seat long-range market – offering direct point-to-point services and increased flight frequencies at lower costs.

It thrives in many market environments and often forms a key part of a larger international operation with major and flagship carriers, operating along with other A330 or A340 models.

As flagships with smaller airlines, A340-300s provide vital long-range links to and from less populous cities; while serving as a cost-effective 275-300-seat long-range complement for operators of A320 Family aircraft.

Air France Fleet Airbus A340-300 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

The Air France Airbus A340-300 aircraft features 275 seats in a three cabin configuration: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.

It is used on long-haul intercontinental routes.

The business class cabin has a total of 30 seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, with four rows AC, six centre rows of DH and then five rows of KJ.

The seat is one of the old-style Air France business class seats, though with new upholstery.

It is lie-flat rather than full flat, with a recline of 175 degrees and a bed width of 61 cm and a length of 2 metres.

There is one USB socket for each seat and also an electric socket, though note that you need an adaptor for that if you have a UK plug (it fits US and EU ones without a problem).

There is a storage compartment for magazines between each seat, although things tend to fly out of here on take-off so you would be wise to follow the advice and not use it for stowage at take-off since your iPad won’t thank you.

There is also a slot for your shoes.

The side table slides out and upwards from the arm of the chair.

The seats have a new inflight entertainment system (IFE) which was going through teething problems.

Premium-economy cabin was laid out in a 2-3-2 configuration compared to the 2-4-2 of the main cabin and 2-2-2 of the business-class cabin.

The premium-economy cabin was bright and clean, much more attractive than the Air France premium economy on the same type of aircraft.

The wall of the galley had vivid livery.

The lavatory size and amenities were the same as you would see on other mainstream A330 and A340 operators.

There were enough lavatories, and they each had an adequate amount of space and new fittings.

Among disadvantages of these seats: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, close location of the galleys, and reduced width of the seats because the tray tables and personal TV are in the armrests making them immovable.

The seats 14DEF have bassinet location.

Economy class may transport 224 passengers.

The seats of the economy class are located in two section. Most of the seats have 2-4-2 configuration.

First section of economy class seats consists of 14 rows of seats.

These seats are located in 8 rows per 4 in each.

The middle seats here are blocked and converted into tables for more space.

Passengers traveling with infants are often seated on the seats of the 1st row as these seats have bassinet location.

The only disadvantage of the seats 6A and 6F is misaligned windows.

The seats 8A and 8F are considered bad seats as they have no windows and may be less reclining than standard.

Economy class may transport 152 passengers.

The seats of the economy class are located in two sections.

First section contains 13 rows of seats.

The seats of the 22nd row are not reclining due to the exit row located behind.

The second section of the economy class consists of 13 rows.

As in front of the seats of the 23rd row exit row is located passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra space for their legs.

These seats are designated by Air France as Seats Plus and may be reserved by any passenger for an additional charge.

As the seats 23A and 23F are missing windows these seats are considered bad seats.

The seats 23BCE are good seats.

Close location of the lavatories may be a problem for passengers of the seats 34C, 34D and of the last 35th row.

In addition the seats of the 35th row have limited reclining that is why these seats are considered bad seats.
