Cathay Pacific Fleet Boeing 777-200 Details and Pictures. On current Cathay Pacific fleet, there’s only 2 wide-body aircraft Boeing 777-200 that still operated.

Being the biggest two-engine passenger jet airplane, Boeing 777 is the accident flight record holder under ETOPS standard (Boeing 777-200ER has spent in the air 177 minutes with one working engine).

Of course all routes for the flights made on Boeing 777 airplanes are planned in accordance with ETOPS requirements (Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards) which increases passenger safety.

Cathay Pacific Fleet Boeing 777-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Cathay Pacific operates the Boeing 777-200 on long-haul flights.

This version flies with 42 Business Class seats and 293 standard Economy Class seats.

The business class seats were old style business class recliners in a 2x3x2 configuration.

There was plenty of leg room, even if you chose to store a bag under the seat in front of you, but overall the seat was very simple.

The PTV was under the arm rest between the seats and was very small.

The seats were well padded and comfortable for what they were, but flyers beware, other carriers in the region including Thai, Asiana, Korean, and Singapore offer better regional products than Cathay’s older regional configuration.

This Boeing 777-200 aircraft may transport 335 passengers: 42 in business class and 293 in economy class.

Business class consists of 7 rows of recliner seats.

All these seats are standard.

The only disadvantage of the seats 11DEG, 12AC and 12HKis close location of the galleys and lavatory.

Passengers with infants are often seated on the seats 12AC and 12HK as they have bassinet locations.

Behind the exit row 2 sections of economy class seats are located.

Most of the seats have 3-3-3 configuration.

First section of economy class seats contains 20 rows of seats.

Due to bulkhead position the seats of the 39th row as well as the seats 40 ABC have limited legroom.

Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of these seats while waiting to use lavatories thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Among other disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

For passengers with babies the seats 39DEG offer bassinet locations.

Close location of the lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 57C, 57DEG, 57H and to passengers of the 58th row.

The second section of economy class consists of 14 rows of seats.

The main disadvantages of the seats of the 59th row are: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, close location of the lavatories and these seats are narrower than standard as the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable.

Also the seats 59DEG have limited legroom because of the bulkhead position.

As to the other seats of this row, i.e. the seats 59ABC and 59HJK, they, on the contrary, offer extra space for passengers’ legs.

As there are no seats behind, other passengers and crew members passing by tend to bump into the seats 70C and 70H.

The seats of the last 72nd row are considered bad seats due to proximity of the galleys and lavatories.

CX B777-200 Seating Plan Arrangement

This plane has 3 sections, with a Business class section at the front of the plane followed by 2 Economy class sections.

Toilet suitable for passengers with reduced mobility is located at the end of the Business class section.

Emergency exit row and extra-legroom seats are located at the end of the front-most Economy class section.

In Business class, toilet and galleys are at the front and baby bassinet seats are at row 12.

In Economy class, there are toilets and galleys in each section.

Baby bassinet seats are located at the first row of each section.
