SWISS Fleet Airbus A220-300 Details and Pictures. On current fleet, SWISS operated 5 narrow-body aircraft Airbus A220-300.
The larger member of the A220 Family – the A220-300 – was specifically designed and purpose-built for the 130-160 seat market.
It represents the fusion of performance and technology, allowing airlines to connect distant points on continents or sectors that were previously unprofitable or impossible.
The A220-300’s advanced aerodynamics combined with specifically-designed Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1500G geared turbofan engines contribute to an aircraft that delivers 20% lower fuel burn per seat than previous generation aircraft, half the noise footprint, and decreased emissions, making it a true community-minded jetliner.
Both members of the A220 Family share commonality in more than 99% of the line-replaceable units (LRUs), as well as the same family of engines – meaning operators can fly both versions and at a significant cost savings.
Flight crews with the same pilot type rating, as well as cabin personnel, will enjoy a seamless transition between the A220-300 and A220-100, greatly reducing complexity and training costs.

SWISS Fleet Airbus A220-300 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
The Swiss Airbus A220-300 aircraft is operated on short-haul routes.
This A220-300 features a 2 class configuration with 30 Business Class seats and 115 Economy Class seats.
SWISS blocks all C and E seats in Business Class to provide a sense of more space.
As with nearly all intra-European flights, the aircraft had the same seats in both business and economy class.
The only difference is that in business the middle seat is blocked.
The A220-100 has the 3-2 configuration.
The left side seats A & C would be best for those who are travelling together and want to sit close together!
The cabin on Swiss’ Airbus A220 aircraft is very smart.
The seats are a dark leather with light leather headrest cover and beautiful chrome finishings around the seats.
The 2-3 configuration, large and modern bathrooms, big windows and modern touches combine to make for a pleasant flying experience.
Seat Map and Seating Chart Airbus A220-300 SWISS
Business class offers 30 recliner seats.
These seats are located in the first 11 rows and have 2-3 configuration.
C and E seats of the rows 1-6 are blocked.
The noise from the galleys and lavatory located in front may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the first row.
Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 11th row have limited recline.
Behind the exit row 18 rows of economy class seats are located.
The seats have 2-3 configuration, so there are totally 115 seats here.
The seats of the 12th row are considered the best seats.
Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom and personal space because the seats in front have limited recline.
The only disadvantage of the seats 29C and 29D is proximity to the lavatory and galley area.
Limited recline, reduced personal space and noise from the lavatories and galleys located behind make the seats of the 30th row bad seats.
