Air China Fleet Airbus A350-900 Details and Pictures. Air China, the Chinese flag carrier now has 10 xtra-wide-body aircraft Airbus A350-900s in its fleet, but doesn’t have any A350-1000 aircraft yet.
The national flag carrier is the first Chinese mainland customer to order and take ownership of the world’s newest and most efficient twin-engine widebody aircraft.
Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, Air China’s A350-900 aircraft features a comfortable three-class cabin layout of 312 seats: 32 business, 24 premium economy and 256 economy.
The airline will initially operate the new aircraft on its domestic routes, followed by flights to international destinations.
The A350-900 is a long-range wide-body aircraft, which entered into commercial service in 2015 with Qatar Airways, while the larger A350-1000 began operations in 2018 with the same airline.
Air China has confirmed a new order with Airbus to purchase 20 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, slated for delivery from 2020 to 2022.
The Chinese flag carrier has the right to swap the last five aircraft to the larger A350-1000 variant.

Air China Fleet Airbus A350-900 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
Air China’s Airbus A350-900 is the first aircraft in Air China’s fleet with a 1-2-1 Business Class configuration as well as a true Premium-Economy product.
This aircraft seats 312 passengers in a three class configuration with 32 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy seats.
For Business Class, Air China decided to go with the B/E Aerospace Super Diamond seat that can be found on a number of Dreamliners.
Passengers in Premium Economy will find extra recline, in addition to a fold-out leg rest.
Seats in Premium Economy are in a hard shell design, which means if the person in front of you leans back, they will not encroach on your space.
