A recent addition to United’s fleet, the Boeing 777-300ER is United’s first aircraft featuring their Polaris product.
Polaris is a premium Business Class product.
United chose to outfit its widebody fleet with a custom-designed, exclusive-to-United, open suite style seat, rather than select an option already in the marketplace.
Designed in partnership with Acumen Design Associates and PriestmanGoode and manufactured by Zodiac Seats United Kingdom, each Polaris seat will offer direct access to the aisle, 180-degree flat-bed recline and up to 6 foot 6 inches of bed space.
The 777-300ER has 60 Polaris seats.
Economy Plus is offered on this aircraft type.
Economy Plus is not a separate class of service but is standard Economy with up to 5 inches of extra legroom.
These seats are located nearer to the front of the aircraft and passengers in this section will be served first.
Charges for these seats will depend on routing and may be purchased at the of booking or check-in. The 777-300ER has 102 Economy Plus seats.
Economy Class includes 204 standard Economy Class seats.
Polaris class contains 60 open suites with 180 degrees recline.
These seats are located in the first 18 rows of the airplane and are divided into two sections.
First section consists of 28 seats that are transformed into a flat bed.
The noise from the galleys and lavatory located in front may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 1st row.
The only disadvantage of the seats of the 6th-8th rows is close location of the galleys.
Behind the exit row the second section of polaris class seats is located.
This section contains 8 rows of seats that have 1-2-1 configuration.
Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats of the 9th row while waiting to use lavatories thus causing discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 9th row.
Missing windows make the seats 16A and 16L bad seats.
Noise from more crowded economy plus section will cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats of the 18th row.
Economy plus class may accommodate 102 passengers on standard seats that have 4 inches recline.
These seats are also located in two sections.
First section consists of 4 rows of seats that have 3-4-3 configuration.
Passengers of the seats of the 19th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs.
These seats are considered good seats.
However, there is no floor storage for these seats during take-off and landing and the tray tables located in the armrests slightly reduce the width.
Location of the lavatories located behind is the main disadvantage of the seats of the 22nd row.
The second section of economy plus seats contains 52 seats that are located in 6 rows.
Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 24th row offer extra legroom.
Among disadvantages of these seats: location of the galleys and lavatories in front, lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width because the armrests are immovable.
Because of missing windows the seats 24A and 24L are considered bad seats.
Economy class offers 204 standard seats that have 3 inches recline.
These seats are located in 2 sections.
First section contains 10 rows of seats.
All these seats are standard only the seats of the 37th row are less reclining than standard and are located close to the lavatories.
Second section of economy class seats is located behind the exit row.
The seats 39ABC, 39JKL and 40DEFGare the seats of economy plus class.
Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to additional space for their legs.
Protrusion of the exit doors may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 39A and 39L but proximity of the lavatories and galleys to passengers of the seats 39BC and 39JK.
All the seats of the 39th row have no floor storage during take-off and landing and are a little narrower than standard because the tray tables are built-in the armrests.
As there are no seats behind the seats 49C and 49J are often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.
Location of the galley and lavatories behind the seats 51D and 51G may represent a problem for passengers of these seats.
Limited recline, limited space in overhead bins as well as proximity of the galley and lavatories make the seats 51AB, 51KL and 52DEFG bad seats.

United Airlines Fleet Boeing 777-200/ER Cabin Specification and Class Configuration
United Airlines operates 5 versions of Boeing 777-200/ER.
Note that United Airlines has a few interior configurations; legacy United layout, a 2-2-2 Continental layout (found on many international routes) and 1-2-1 Polaris, which is an outstanding seating product.
United’s retrofitted 777-200s sport a total of 242 economy seats, compared with 221 prior to their update.
Most of those additional seats come from a jump from a 3-3-3 arrangement, with up to 18.1-inch seat width, to 3-4-3 with a width of 17.25 inches.
That’s a noticeable decline, especially when it comes to shoulder space.
There are also far fewer Economy Plus seats — 80 on the new version, compared with a whopping 113 on the previous configuration.
Economy Plus seat pitch remains at a respectable 34 inches.
The retrofitted plane has 162 regular coach seats as well, with 31 inches of pitch.

Economy Plus class consists of 9 rows of seats that have 2-3-2 configuration.
All these seats are standard. Only the seats of the 16th row have some peculiarities.
The seats of the 16th row have no windows, may have less legroom because of the bulkhead position, have no floor storage during take-off and landing, the width of these seats is reduced a little as tray tables are built-in the armrests.
Other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
Economy class consists of 20 rows of seats per 7 in each.
These seats are divided into two sections. First section has 3 rows of seats.
The seats of the 27th row are located in the last row of the section and that is why recline of these seats is limited.
Proximity of lavatories may also represent a problem.
Second section of economy class is located behind exit row.
The seats of the 28th row have the following disadvantages: close location of the lavatories, reduced with of the seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.
The seats 33A and 33L have misaligned windows.
The seats 44AB and 44KL are considered bad seats as are located in the last row of the airplane and have limited recline.
Also these seats are narrower than standard because of the curvature of the airplane in the tail.
Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome as well.

Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 767 300ER Three Class United Airlines
This 3-class International Premium Travel Experience product features 6 Polaris first open suites, 26 Polaris business bed seats, 71 Economy Plus seats, and 80 Economy seats.
First class may transport 6 passengers on open suites that have 180 degrees recline.
The seats 1C and 1K have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
Close location of the lavatories may represent problem for passengers of these seats.
Business first class has 26 flat bed seats. Most of them are located in 4 rows that have 2-2-2 configuration.
All the seats of this class have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
When the aisle seats are fully reclines it is quite difficult for passengers of the windows seats to exit.
Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 9CH, 10JK, 13AB and 14AB.
The seats 13AB and 14AB have misaligned windows.
The seats in economy plus class have 2-3-2 configuration.
The seats of the 19th row are located between two exit rows.
That is why these seats may have limited recline.
As the tray tables are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.
Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
Other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories and causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
The seats 19AB and 19JK may also have limited legroom.
Passengers of the seats 20AB and 20JK will take advantage of extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.
At the same time these seats are less reclining and are narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.
The other seats of the 20th row, i.e. the seats 20CEH may have limited recline as well.
The seats of the economy class are located in 11 rows per 7 seats in each.
All these seats are standard.
Only the seats of the last 39th row have a little reduced width.
Their close location to the galley and lavatories may represent a problem.
The seat 39A may have less legroom because of the entertainment equipment that is stored here.
The seats 39CEH are often reserved for crew members during long-haul flights.

However, as TV screens are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is slightly reduced.
Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
As there is exit row behind the seats of the 20th row have either limited reclining or are not reclining at all.
For the same reason (another exit row), the seats 21AB and 21KL may have limited recline.
The seats 21DEF have extra legroom but other passengers tend to bump into these seats.
Passengers of the seats 22AB and 22KL will take advantage of extra space for their legs.
But it can get cold from the exits during the flight, the width of these seats is reduced a little and there is no floor storage for these seats during take-off and landing.
The seats 22A and 22L have no window-side armrests.
There are 135 standard seats in the economy class.
All these seats are standard. Only the seats 41DEF, 41KL and 42AB are considered bad seats as these seats are located in the last row of the airplane and may be less reclining or not reclining at all.

Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 757 300 United Airlines
The cabin of Boeing 757-300 is divided into three classes: first, economy plus and economy.
First class consists of 24 recliner seats that are located in 6 rows per 4 in each.
The seats 1A and 1B are considered the best seats of the first class as passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra space but at the same time these seats have no footrests.
The other seats of the 1st row, i.e. the seats 1E and 1F on the contrary have restricted space because of the position of the bulkhead.
Among other disadvantages of these seats: lack of footrest, only one window and close location of the galley.
Economy Plus class may transport from 39 to 57 passengers depending on configuration.
The seats of the 7th row have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.
Other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories.
As the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is slightly reduced.
Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
These seats may be reserved for additional fee 24 hours prior the flight.
Platinum and Gold Elite members may reserve this seat at any time.
The seats 8DEF have limited legroom because of the bulkhead position.
Close location of the lavatories and galleys may represent a problem for passengers of these seats.
The armrests of these seats are immovable as the tray tables are built inside them and that is why these seats are a little narrower than standard.
Economy class seats are divided into 2 sections.
The seats 16A and 16F have no windows.
The seats of the 19th row are reserved for Elite frequent flyers.
These seats may be less reclining or not reclining at all thanks to the exit row located behind.
The seats 19C and 19D have movable armrests.
Location of the seats of 20th row between two rows provides these seats with some extra legroom but at the same time these seats may be not reclining and are more upright causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
Also it can get very cold from the exits during the flight.
These seats may be reserved for additional fee 24 hours prior the flight.
Platinum and Gold Elite members may reserve this seat at any time.
The seats of the 21st row are considered the best seats.
These seats are located behind the exit door providing extra space for passengers’ legs and fully reclining.
However, it can get cold during the flight by the exits.
These seats may be reserved for additional fee 24 hours prior the flight.
Platinum and Gold Elite members may reserve this seat at any time.
Proximity of the lavatories and limited recline may cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats 31ADC and 32DEF.
These are the last rows of the first section in economy class.
The second section of Economy class is located behind the lavatories and another exit row.
The seats of the 33rd row have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.
However, other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories and causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
As the exit door protrudes inside it may require angling of the legs for passengers of the seats 33A and 33F.
Among other disadvantages of the seats of 33rd row are: lack of floor storage during takeoff and landing (except the seat 33C), as the tray tables are in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.
Passengers of the seat 33D may not have access to DIRECTV programming.
All the seats of the 33rd row except the seat 33C may be reserved for additional fee 24 hours prior the flight.
Platinum and Gold Elite members may reserve this seat at any time.
The seats of the 40th row are narrower than standard.
Proximity of the galley will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of 41st row.
Another disadvantage of these seats is reduced width.

United Airlines Narrow Body Aircraft Boeing 757-200 Seat map and Seating Chart (16/153 configuration)
Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 757 200 International United Airlines
Business First class has 4 rows of seats per 4 in each.
All these flat bed seats have 180 degrees decline.
Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 1A and 1B.
45 seats are located in Economy Plus class.
All C and D seats in this class and in economy class may have restricted legroom and under seat storage space due to the entertainment equipment that may be stored here.
The seats 7ABC have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
Other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories causing some discomfort to passengers of these seats.
The seats 8DEF are good seats as passengers of these seats may take advantage of extra legroom thanks to the cutout in the bulkhead.
But these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
The seats 11A and 11F have no windows.
Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 8th row do not recline.
The seats of the 20th row are located between two exit rows.
That is why passengers of these seats will have some extra space for their legs but on the other hand these seats do not recline.
The seat 21A has extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.
But as the window armrests is built-in the exit door, passengers may get cold during the flight.
Also there is no overhead storage for this seat.
The other seats of the 21st row are considered good seats as they have extra space for passengers’ legs but do not have overhead storage space.
Economy class consists of 18 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.
All these seats are standard.
Proximity of the lavatories may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 38CD and 39CD.
The seats of the last 40th row are considered bad seats as they may be less reclining or not reclining at all.
Close location of the galleys and lavatories may also represent a problem.
United Airlines Narrow Body Aircraft Boeing 757-200 Seat map and Seating Chart (28/114 configuration)
Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 757 200 Premium United Airlines
Business First class includes 7 rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration.
These seats are divided into 2 sections. First section has 4 rows of seats.
The seats 1AB have such a disadvantage as proximity of the galleys the light from which may cause discomfort to passengers when trying to fall asleep.
Close location of the lavatory may represent a problem for passengers of the seat 4E.
Second section of Business First class consists of 3 rows of seats per 4 in each.
Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 5AB.
The seats 6A, 6F and 7A have misaligned windows.
Behind Business First class is located one row of Economy class, the 20th row.
The seats of the 20th row have less space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position and are not reclining due to the exit row located behind.
The seats of the Economy Plus class are located behind exit row.
There are 7 rows here per 6 in each. All these seats are standard. The best seats are the seats of 21st row.
These seats have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.
However, the cushion of these seats is half thinner than of other standard seats on the airplane.
The last 11 rows in the airplane are the rows of Economy class.
There are totally 66 seats here.
Close location of the lavatories may represent a problem to passengers of the seats 37C and 37D and for passengers of the seats of the last 38th row.
Also, these seats don’t have overhead bins.
