Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 800 Seating Plan
Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 800 Seating Plan

First version of the Boeing 737-800 operated by Alaska Airlines may accommodate 163 passengers in two classes. 16 recliner seats are located in the first class. All these seats are standard.

Noise coming from the galleys may cause discomfort to passengers ofthe seats of the 1st row. Also these seats may have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Entertainment equipment stored under the seats 1A and 1F limits under seat storage and legroom.

147 passengers may accommodate economy class. Economy class is divided from first class with a curtain divider.

Passengers of the seats of the 6th row will take advantage of extra legroom. However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing and are narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

All A and F seats of the rows 9-12 have misaligned windows. The seat 10A has no window.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 15th row are less reclining.

As the seats of the 16th row are located between two exit rows, they offer extra space for passengers’ legs, but at the same time have limited recline. Among other disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, lack of overhead storage and reduced width of the seats.

The best seats on this airplane are considered the seats of the 17th row Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to the extra legroom. However these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing in addition the seats 17ABC have no overhead storage.

Close location to the lavatories and limited recline or even no recline make the seats 31ABC and 32DEF bad seats.

Seat Map and Seating Chart Boeing 737-800 Alaska Airlines Slimline V2

Second version of the Boeing 737-800 airplane offers seats of three classes: first, premium and economy. This airplane offers totally 159 seats.

First three rows of seats represent seats of the first class. These seats have 2-2 configuration. The seats of the 1st row have the following disadvantages: location of the galley and lavatory in front and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats of the first class are divided from the seats of premium class with a curtain. Premium class may accommodate 30 passengers in 5 rows. These seats have 4 extra inches of legroom.

An extra fee should be paid to book these seats. As the tray tables of the seats of the 6th row are in the armrests the width of these seats is slightly reduced. As these seats are located directly behind the seats of the first class the floor storage during take-off and landing may be limited.

Economy class consists of 117 standard seats. Most of these seats have 3-3 configuration. Only the last row contains just 3 seats. Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 15th row have limited recline.

Passengers of the seats of the 16th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom. However, these seats are less reclining than standard, have no floor storage during take-off and landing and have limited storage space in overhead bins.

Thanks to the exit row located in front passengers of the seats of the 17th row will take advantage of additional space for their legs. But lack of the floor storage during take-off and landing and limited overhead storage space may represent problem.

The only disadvantage of the seat 31D is close location of the lavatory and galley.

Limited recline and the noise from the galley and lavatory located behind make the seats 31 ABC and 32DEF bad seats.

Airbus A321neo operated by Alaska Airlines offers seats of three classes: first, premium and economy.

First class seats are located in the first two rows of the airplane and have 2-2 configuration. The width of these seats is 21 inches as compared to the seats of premium and economy that have 17.7 inches width.

Noise from the galley and lavatory and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing may be bothersome for passengers of the seats of the 1st row.

Behind the seats of the first class 18 seats of premium class are located. There are totally 3 rows here per 6 seats in each. These seats are designated as premium seats because they offer 6 extra inches of legroom. The seats of the 3rd row have some disadvantages: no floor storage during take-off and landing and location of tray tables in the bulkhead.

Economy class offers 159 seats. First 2 rows of the economy class are located before the first exit row. Recline of the seats of the 7th row may be limited because of the exit row located behind.

Behind the exit row 13 rows more rows of economy class seats are located. First row of the section has 3-2 configuration, the last row contains 2 seats and 11 rows have 3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 8th row will take advantage of additional legroom. However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Anyway, these seats are considered good seats as well as the seat 9 that also features extra legroom. Among disadvantages of this seat: reduced width because of the tray tables located in armrests and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Due to the lavatory wall located behind the seats 19ABC have limited recline and when the seats in front are in reclining position passengers of these seats will have less personal space. Noise from the lavatory may also cause discomfort.

Close location of the lavatory is also the main disadvantage of the seats 19D and 20D. Because of the exit row located behind the seat 20D also is less reclining than standard seats. That is why these seats are considered bad seats.

The other 13 rows of economy class seats are located behind the second exit row. The seats of the 21st row and the seat 22A offer extra space for passengers’ legs. However, there are some disadvantages: as the tray tables and TV displays are built-in the armrests making them immovable and thus reducing the width, also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Lavatories located in front is one more disadvantage of the seats 21BC.

The main disadvantage of the seat 32C is proximity of the lavatory.

Limited recline, reduced personal space and noise from the lavatory area located behind make the seats 32DEF and 33ABC bad seats.

Boeing 737-700 operated by Alaska Airlines may transport 124 passengers in two classes. First class consists of 3 rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration. The seats of the first row have the following disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, close location of the galley and limited legroom.

Economy class may transport 112 passengers.

The seats of the economy class are divided from the first class with a curtain thanks to which the seats of the 6th row offer extra space for passengers’ legs. As the tray tables are in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little. Also passengers of these seats may store small bags under the seats of the first class located in front.

Missing windows is the main disadvantage of the seats 9A and 9F.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 15th row are less reclining.

As the seats 16BC and 16DE are located between two exit rows, these seats have extra legroom and are not reclining.

Behind exit row the last section of economy class seats is located. The best seats on the airplane are considered the seats of the 17th row. Passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom provided by exit row located in front and missing windows seats.

Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 27C and 27D causing discomfort to passengers of these seats and of the seats of the last 28th row. In addition the seats of the 28th row are not reclining.
