Air Canada Fleet Airbus A321-200 Details and Pictures. Air Canada operated 15 brand new aircraft from A320 family, its Airbus A321-200.

This aircraft is more modern and advanced than Airbus A320-200 and Airbus A319-100.

Airbus launched the A321-200 development in 1995 which has a full-passenger transcontinental US range.

This is achieved through higher thrust engines (V2533-A5 or CFM56-5B3), minor structural strengthening, and an increase in fuel capacity with the installation of one or two optional 2,990 L (790 US gal) tanks in the rear underfloor hold.

The additional fuel tankage increases the total capacity of this model to 30,030 L (7,930 US gal).

These modifications also increased the maximum takeoff weight of the A321-200 to 93,000 kg (205,000 lb).

This variant first flew in December 1996, and entered service with Monarch Airlines in April 1997.

Its direct competitors include the 757–200 and the 737-900/900ER.

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A321-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Air Canada operated 2 version of Airbus A321-200 cabin configuration.

Business class seats are in 2-2 configuration spread over 4 rows.

On the seat was a small pillow.

Legroom was good with a legrest fitted at the base.

Old entertainment system meant small screens even though the plane has the new livery.

Perhaps Air Canada should re-look at what is important to passengers and re-furbish their ageing interiors instead of spending them on the outside look which has no big problem in the first place.

First version of Airbus A321 operated by Canada Airlines is the most common.

It may transport 183 passengers in 2 classes.

Business class consists of 4 rows of seats, first row has 2 seats, the seats in other three rows have 2-2 configuration.

The only disadvantage of the seats 2AC is less space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position.

There are 169 standard seats in the Economy class.

The seats of the 12-17th rows are considered preferred seats.

These seats may be reserved by elite members free of charge.

Other passengers will have to pay extra fee to choose these seats.

The seats of the 12th row are considered the best seats as these seats have extra legroom.

Passengers of these seats are first to be served and disembark.

The seats of the 16th row are located behind the exit row.

That is why passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, these seats are narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Passenger of the seat 17D will feel comfortable as there is no seat in front.

At the same time there is no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Close location of the lavatory may represent problem for passengers of the seats 27C, 27DEF and 28AB.

The seats 27DEF are not reclining but the seats 28AB may have limited recline.

The last 12 rows of Economy class are located behind another exit row.

All the seats here have 3-3 configuration.

The seats of the 29th row are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats that may be reserved for additional fee.

Elite level members may reserve these seats with no additional charge.

These seats are considered best seats due to extra legroom.

Passengers tend to gather in the tail of the airplane in order to visit lavatories and it may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 39C and 39D and of the seats of 40th row.

In addition the seats of the 40th rowmay have limited recline.

This version of Airbus A321 offers 185 seats of two classes: business and economy.

Business class consists of 16 recliner seats that are located in 4 rows per 4 in each.

Due to position of the bulkhead the legroom of the seats of the 1st row is restricted a little.

Close location of the galley and lavatory may cause discomfort as well.

Economy class offers 169 standard seats divided into three sections.

First section consists of 4 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

First 2 rows in this section, i.e. the seats of the 12-13th rows are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats to reserve which an extra fee must be paid.

Only Elite level members of Air Canada may choose these seats free of charge.

The seats of the 12th row have the following disadvantages: curtain located in front that separates these seats from the seats of business class.

As the tray tables are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 15th row are less reclining than standard.

Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located.

This section contains 13 rows of seats.

The seats of the rows 16-17 are designated as preferred seats to book which an extra charge must be paid.

These 2 rows offer 11 seats.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 16th row have extra legroom.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Protrusion of the exit doors inside may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 16A and 16F.

Passengers of the seat 17D will take advantage of additional space for their legs.

This seat is considered good seat but as the tray table and video displays are in the armrests the width is slightly reduced.

Congregation of passengers may cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats 27C, 27DEF and 28AB because lavatories are located here.

As there is no seat behind the seat 27C is often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.

The seats 28AB are less reclining than standard due to exit row located behind.

The third section consists of 12 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

The seats of the 29th row are designated as preferred seats to reserve which and extra charge must be paid.

Elite level members of Air Canada may reserve these seats free of charge.

Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to additional space for their legs.

Among disadvantages: reduced width of the seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Protrusion of the exit doors inside slightly reduce the extra legroom of the seats 29A and 29F.

The noise from the galley and lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 39C, 39D and the seats of the 40th row.

Limited recline makes the seats of the last 40th row bad seats.

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A320-200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Airbus A320-200 aircraft features seat back televisions and audio at each seat, even for short domestic services.

Passengers should bring their own headphones to avoid the $3CAD charge.

There is no bulkhead separating the business class cabin from economy, but rather just a thin curtain that does little to block noise.

The touch-screen controlled system offered a decent selection of movies, TV-shows, music and a map.

Also present was a universal power supply, a USB port, and a headphone jack in the armrest.

The seat is fairly standard for North American ‘premium cabin’ at 21 inches wide with 38 inches of pitch.

Pillows were waiting upon boarding and the crew came around with pre-departure beverages as the cabin filled up.

There is no bulkhead separating the business class cabin from economy, but rather just a thin curtain that does little to block noise.

The touch-screen controlled system offered a decent selection of movies, TV-shows, music and a map. While I personally don’t follow TV series, some readers may be reassured to know that Air Canada has a significant HBO offering.

Also present was a universal power supply, a USB port, and a headphone jack in the armrest.

Economy seat measured a standard 18 inches, offered an immobile headrest, and with 31-33″ pitch, was spacious enough.

Air Canada Airbus A320-200 may transport 146 passengers in two classes.

Business class has 14 seats.

The seats of the 1st row have a little more legroom.

However, some passengers consider the bulkhead wall quite restrictive.

Also there is no floor storage for these seats.

Passengers of the seats 2A and 2C have a little more space for their legs.

Under the closet located in front of these seats there is a small space where passengers may store their bags.

Touch screens of personal TVs are difficult to be reached.

Economy class includes 120 seats.

The seats of the rows 12-15 and the seats 17A and 17F are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats.

All these seats may be chosen by any passenger for additional charge.

Elite level members may choose these seats free of charge.

Personal TV of the seats 12B and 12E are built-in the armrests which may be uncomfortable for passengers of these seats.

The seats of the 15th row are less reclining as exit row is located behind.

Passengers of the seats of 16th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, these seats are not reclining and have no windows.

It can get cold by the exits during the flight.

Passengers of the seats 16B and 16E will enjoy extra space and privacy due to missing windows seats.

The seats 17A and 17F have a lot of space for passengers’ legs as there are no seats in front.

However, these seats are a little narrower than standard.

The best seats in economy class are the seats 17BC and 17DE.

These seats have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front.

Close location of the galley and lavatories may represent a problem for passengers of the seats 28C, 28D and of the seats of 29th row.

The seats of the last 29th row are in addition less reclining and have a little less seats pitch.

That is why these seats are considered bad seats.

Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319 100 C FYJG on final approach at LAX Airport

Air Canada Rouge Fleet Airbus A319-100 Details and Pictures. Air Canada rouge is the new leisure airline from Air Canada.

This aircraft (Airbus A319-100) is used on routes to Cuba, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

Air Canada Rouge operated 22 narrow body aircraft Airbus A319-100.

When Air Canada switched over many of their leisure routes from mainline to Rouge many folks weren’t too thrilled about it, yours truly included.

Nothing says premium travel like 35 inch seat pitch.

Rouge is the “lower-cost” arm of the airline.

They operate their own planes in a more leisure configuration, meaning fewer business class seats, more economy seats, and less legroom.

Air Canada Rouge Fleet Airbus A319-100 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Airbus A319-100 features next generation wireless streaming of entertainment content to passenger laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-100 is configured with Premium Rouge in Rows 1-3.

Premium Rouge is Air Canada Rouge’s Short Haul Business Class product.

Premium rouge passengers are offered complimentary rental of a new iPad Air 2 featuring “dozens of the latest Hollywood new releases and popular iPad games for one and two players”, streaming via a Panasonic Avionics wireless entertainment system.

Regular rouge passengers will still have to pay to rent iPads, although the streaming content is “available complimentary to customers that have downloaded the free app onto their own laptops or mobile Apple and Android devices”.

The carrier is pulling out the 3-3 regular economy seats to replace them with a relatively generous three rows of recliners in a 2-2 configuration in the Premium rouge cabin.

The personal space in Premium rouge on the A319s is likely to eclipse the recliners on the airline’s rouge 767-300ER aircraft. 2-2-2 feels tight on a 767, and its 6:7 ratio of business to economy seats across the same fuselage is less spacious than the 4:6 ratio of business to economy on the A319.

Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319 100 Seating Plan
Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319 100 Seating Plan

This narrow body aircraft Airbus A319-100 may transport 132 passengers in three classes: premium rouge, economy class rouge plus and economy class.

Premium rouge class has 3 rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration.

The seats of the 1st row have no floor storage during take-off and landing and are narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

The seats of the 12th row belong to Economy class rouge plus.

These seats have a curtain divider than may be annoying for some passengers.

Most seats of the Economy class have 3-3 configuration.

As there is exit row behind, the seats of the 17th rowmay be less reclining.

The best seats of the Economy class are the seats of the 18th row.

Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to the extra legroom.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

In addition, the seats 18B and 18E have extra space on the side of the windows as there are no seats.

The seats 19A and 19F belong to Economy class rouge plus as well.

As there are no seats in front passengers of these seats may enjoy extra legroom.

Proximity of the lavatories will represent a problem for passengers of the seats 31C and 31D and for passengers of the last 32rd row.

Also, the seats of the 32rd row may be have limited recline.

That is why these seats are considered bad seats.

Air Canada Fleet Airbus A319-100 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This narrow-body aircraft type is used on trans border and domestic routes.

These narrow-body jets are configured with a two class cabin, business and economy.

Air Canada recently rebranded their entire product line and got rid of the “Executive First” title.

Their narrow-body premium product is simply called “business class” now.

Business class was located in the small forward cabin with 14 seats in a 2×2 layout.

This aircraft features seat back televisions and audio at each seat, even for short domestic services.

Passengers should bring their own headphones to avoid the $3CAD charge.

Business class includes 14 seats.

The seats 1D and 1F have a little less space between the seats and don’t have footrest as compared to other seats of these class.

Among other disadvantages of these seats: proximity of the galley and lavatory and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 2A and 2C are considered the best seats of the Business class.

There is a little more space between these seats.

However, these seats have no footrest and floor storage during take-off and landing.

It is difficult to access touch screen of the personal TV that is located on the bulkhead.

There are 106 seats in the Economy class.

These seats are located in 18 rows, most of them (17 rows) have 3-3 configuration.

The seats of 12-15th rows are designated as preferred seats by Air Canada.

Elite level members may reserve these seats with no additional charge.

Other passengers should pay extra charge to choose these seats.

The seats 12AC and 12DF are considered best seats.

The seats 12B and 12E have no personal TV in front, it is built-in the armrest and it may be bothersome.

The seats of the 15th row are less reclining because of the exit row located behind.

Passengers of the seats of 16th row will feel comfortable thanks to the extra legroom.

However these seats do not recline.

The seats of this row are missing windows and it can get cold by the exits during the flight.

The seats 16B and 16E have additional space due to missing windows’ seats.

The best seats of Economy class are the seats of 17th row.

These seats have extra space for passengers’ legs.

The seats 17A and 17F are designated by Air Canada as preferred seats.

Elite members may reserve these seats without any additional charge, other passengers will have to pay extra fee for these seats.

These seats are a little narrower than standard but have almost unlimited space for passengers’ legs.

Close location of the lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 28C, 28D and of the seats of 29th row.

The seats of the last 29th row are considered bad seats as these seats are less reclining and have less space between the seats.

Southwest Airlines Fleet Boeing 737-800 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Although there have been concerns about passenger comfort with Southwest’s new Evolve interior on their 737-700 Evolve seat, this does not seem to be an issue on this 737-800 aircraft.

The 738 offers overall more legroom, leaving passengers with a 32″ seat pitch.

In comparison to the 737-700, the 737-800 also features the new Sky Interior with a sculpted ceiling and sloping overhead storage bins which leave the cabin with a much more open and spacious feel.

There is no pre-assigned seating for Southwest flights.

Your time of check-in will determine whether you are in Zone A, B, or C for boarding.

The earlier you board, the better chance you’ll have at the seat you want.

There is no audio or video entertainment on Southwest flights.

The seats of the first row (1DEF) as well as the seats 2ABC are narrower than other standard seats as the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable.

Also, there is no floor storage for these seats during take-off and landing.

The seats 2ABC are considered good seats as passengers will feel comfortable here thanks to extra legroom due to the bulkhead position.

The seats 9A and 10F are seats with missing windows.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 13th row do not recline.

Passengers of the seats of 14th row and the seats of the 15th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs but at the same time these seats have limited recline because exit row is located behind.

The tray tables of the seats 15BCDE are in the armrests making the armrests immovable and reducing the width of these seats.

The best seats on this airplane are the seats of the 16th row as all these seats have extra legroom.

The width of the seats 16A and 16F is reduced as the tray tables are in the armrests because there are no seats in front.

The only disadvantage of the seats 29C and 29D is their close location to the lavatories and galley.

The seats of the 30th row are considered bad seats as they have limited recline and due to proximity to the galley and lavatories.

Southwest Airlines Fleet Boeing 737-700 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

In March of 2012 Southwest began reconfiguring their 737-700 fleet to increase their seating capacity from 137 seats to 143 seats.

These newly reconfigured aircraft will also feature the new Evolve Interior with silmline seats.

Their Evolve Interior is an eco-friendly design that is part of Southwest’s commitment to be  a “green” airline.

Southwest has retained the “Innovator II” seat frames and added fixed wing head rests, along with a newer and thinner foam fill.

This seat has a reduced recline from 3″ to 2″, in comparison to the older versions of this aircraft; however this loss is compensated for as you are sitting at a different angle and this seat design should naturally recline your body to prevent the feeling of “needing to recline”.

Some passengers of the new 73G Evolve product have found this new configuration to be much less comfortable however due to the change in seat pitch from 32″, down to 31″.

The issue doesn’t appear to lie with the seats themselves, but with the overall feeling of cramped seating.

There is no pre-assigned seating for Southwest flights.

Your time of check-in will determine whether you are in Zone A, B, or C for boarding.

The earlier you board, the better chance you’ll have at the seat you want.

There is no audio or video entertainment on Southwest flights.

The seats of the 1st row have extra legroom.

Among disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, lack of tray tables and lack of overhead storage as board equipment is stored here.

The seats 7 A and 8F have no windows.

The seats of the 10th row may be not reclining as exit row is located behind.

Another disadvantage of these seats is misaligned windows.

Passengers who are travelling with a partner may choose the seats 11B and 11C.

These seats have extra space for passengers’ legs but are less reclining and less padded than other standard seats on this airplane.

The tray tables are in the seats’ back in front and if passenger is not tall it may be uncomfortable.

Also, it can get very cold by the exits during the flight.

The seats 11DEF have also extra legroom but are less padded and tray tables are in the seats in front that are located on a distance, this fact may cause inconvenience for passengers with small height.

It can get cold by the exits during the flight. The seat 11F is also a little downward tilt.

The best seat here is the seat 12A. Passenger of this seat will take advantage of extra legroom due to the missing seat in front.

The seats 23C and 23D are often bumped by other passengers and service carts and are located close to the galleys.

Another disadvantage is that some passengers mark that these seats as well as the seats of the 24th row are colder than other standard seats.

Close proximity of the seats of the last row to the galleys and lavatory may be bothersome.
