Turkish Airlines operates two versions of Airbus A321-200.

Both versions offer seats of two classes.

Turkish equips its Airbus A321s with a convertible Euro-style cabin, where all the seats are economy, but the first rows can be converted to business class seating by blocking the middle seat and moving a dividing curtain between the sections.

Turkish Airlines A321 is configured with the new business class cabin with 5 rows of seats in a 2 x 2 layout.

It’s actually a pretty spacious and beautiful cabin with 20 brand new recliner seats in plush, black leather.

Similar to “domestic first class seats,” these Turkish Airlines A321 business class seats offer 20 inches of width and 34 inches of pitch.

The seats recline approximately 6 inches and have adjustable head rests and leg rests.

The head rest was comfortable but I must admit the leg rest was rather useless as it only “raised” up approximately 3 inches.

When fully extended, the leg rest just shifted my legs forward and did nothing to comfort or support them.

Manual seat controls are located on the armrests.

Each seat is equipped with an in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, USB port, universal electrical outlet, two personal reading lamps, overhead air vent and a coat hook.

The touchscreen IFE monitors are bright and clear and the entertainment system offers a decent selection of movies, TV shows, video games and audio entertainment.

The IFE monitors are located in the center console and the companion remotes are located in the armrests.

Audio entertainment and flight details can be controlled from the remote without having to remove your IFE monitor from the center console.

This version of Airbus A321-200 is the most common in Turkish Airlines.

This airplane may accommodate 188 passengers in two classes: business and economy.

Business class offers 12 seats per 4 in each row.

The seats of the 1st row have the following disadvantages: limited space for passengers’ legs, reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Economy class consists of 176 standard seats.

Most of the seats of the economy class have 3-3 configuration.

Because of the position of the bulkhead the legroom of the seats of the 4th row is limited.

In addition, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

For passengers with infants these seats offer bassinet locations.

The main disadvantage of the seats of the 8th row is limited recline due to the exit row behind.

Behind the exit row 14 rows of seats are located.

Passengers of the seats of the 9th row will feel comfortable thanks to the extra legroom.

As the tray tables are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.

As there are no seats in front the seats 10A and 10F offer extra space for passengers legs.

But these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

For passengers who a travelling with a partner will be ideal the seats 23BC and 23DE.

However, these seats are less reclining than standard die to the exit row located behind.

The last section of economy class seats consists of 11 rows of seats.

The seats of the 24th row are considered good seats as they have extra space for passengers’ legs.

Among disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width.

Location of the galley and lavatory behind and limited recline make the seats of the last 34th row bad seats.

This version of Airbus A321-200 may accommodate 20 passengers in business class and 158 passengers in the economy class.

The seats of the business class are located in 5 rows and have 2-2 configuration.

At the same time the noise from the galley and lavatory in front as well as reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing may be bothersome.

The seats of business and economy class are divided from each other with a bulkhead position of which restricts legroom of the seats of the 6th row.

Passengers of the seats of the 21st row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats are considered good seats. Insignificant disadvantage of these seats is lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Other passengers tend to gather in the area of the seats 31C, 31D and 32ABC, 32DEF causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Also the seats of the last 32nd row may have limited recline that is why these seats are considered bad seats.

Iberia operates 2 cabin version of Airbus A340-600.

First version aircraft operates on long-haul routes with 46 seats in Business Plus, and 300 seats in Economy Class, which Iberia refers to as Tourist Class.

All the flat bed seats in Business Class have direct access to the aisle.

Second version of Iberia Airbus A340-600 aircraft operates on long-haul routes with 36 Business Plus Class seats, 23 Premium Economy Class seats and 296 seats in Economy Class, which Iberia refers to as Tourist Class.

Business Plus features seats which transform to fully-flat beds and each has direct access to the aisle.

Business class aboard Iberia’s A340-600 consisted of a single large cabin with a total of 46 seats.

There were 12 rows with four seats each in a staggered 1–2–1 configuration — the first row didn’t have a middle section at all.

These seats were a model called Solstys, manufactured by Stelia Aerospace (the company created by the merger of Aerolia and Sogerma).

You might have seen the same seats on Alitalia and aboard the Emirates A380.

The seats along the outside walls of the cabin were staggered so that some had a wide armrest on the aisle with the chair portion closer to the wall, while the others had their larger armrest on the wall with just a narrow one separating them from the aisle.

That wide armrest contained the footwell of the seat behind when it was in lie-flat mode.

In the center section, meanwhile, rows also alternated. In some, the seats were separated by their wide armrests with their chairs right on the aisle.

The seats in the other rows were positioned close together with the larger armrests separating them from the aisle and just a narrow armrest between them — they’re typically referred to as “sweetheart seats” because of the close quarters, and are better for couples.

First version of Airbus A340-600 is the most common in Iberia fleet among two versions.

This airplane is used during long-haul flights.

This version offers 46 flat bed seats of business class and 300 seats of economy class.

Business Plus class consists of 12 rows of seats.

These seats have 180 degrees recline.

The noise from the galleys and lavatory may represent a problem for passengers of the seats 1A and 1L and for passengers of the last 12th row.

Passengers traveling with babies are often seated on the seats 2E and 2G as these seats offer bassinet locations.

Economy class seats are located in three sections separated from each other with exit rows.

Most of the economy class seats have 2-4-2 configuration.

First section consists of 11 rows of seats.

Due to the exit row in front the seats 14AC and 14JL have extra legroom.

Among disadvantages: close location of the galleys and lavatories, reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Because of the position of the bulkhead the seats 15DEGH have limited legroom.

These seats may have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

For passengers with babies these seats offer bassinet locations.

The second section of economy class seats include 15 rows.

Passengers of the seats 25AC and 25JL will take advantage of extra space for their legs.

Missing windows , lack of floor storage during take-off and landing make the seats 25A and 25L bad seats.

Congregation of passengers near lavatories and limited recline are the main disadvantages of the seats 38AC, 38 JL and 39DEGH.

The third section of economy class seats has 14 rows.

Passengers of the seats 40AC and 40JL will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom.

Iberia’s A330-300 aircraft is one of the first in its’ fleet to be outfitted with its upgraded Business Class product featuring flat-bed seating.

This aircraft operates on long-haul routes with 42 seats in Business Plus, and 278 seats in Economy Class, which Iberia refers to as Tourist Class.

All the flat-bed seats in Business Class have direct access to the aisle.

This particular A330-300 has more seats in the overall business class cabin than the A330-200.

It is also a less technologically advanced, older product than the A350-900.

Within the cabin, there are 29 business class seats, which is 10 more than the A330-200, representing a 53% increase in seats.

The seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration across 7 rows with an extra seat in the rear right side of the cabin.

Lavatories and galleys are at both ends of the cabin, so you’ll want to generally avoid the first and last row for your own convenience.

Iberia’s A330-300 also has a premium economy cabin, unlike the older A330-200 variant.

In this cabin, you’ll immediately notice a smaller configuration of 2-3-2.

Also, there are 21 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, which is 3 fewer seats than the A350-900.

There is a galley on the front-right section of the premium economy cabin.

This A330-200 airplane may accommodate 288 passengers in two classes: business and economy that in Iberia is referred to as tourist class.

Iberia’s A330-200 aircraft is one of the first in its’ fleet to be outfitted with its upgraded Business Class product featuring flat-bed seating.

The aircraft’s business class cabin featured 19 staggered seats (similar to these) and was located between the first two pairs of doors.

Economy class was split across two cabins and featured a total of 269 seats in a “2-4-2” configuration (“2-3-2” towards the end of the aircraft).

The center section of the A330 Business Class cabin offers two different seating arrangements found on alternate rows – one where both seats are close together and one where there’s a sizeable barrier between the two.

The seats closest together will probably suit couples best as, even though there’s a divider that can be raised between the seats, they’re a little close together if you don’t know the person next to you.

These seats also have the advantage of having a fixed table between them and the aisle which gives a feeling of privacy.

The second set of center seats are probably the weakest option on this aircraft.

They’re quite far apart and separated by two fixed tables so they’re not ideal if you plan to communicate with the person next to you during the flight.

They’re also right on the aisle so passengers in these seats are prone to having flight attendants or other passengers brush past them as they go by.

Business class offers 19 flat bed seats each of which has its’ own access to the aisle.

The seats 1C, 1J, 2DH, 3C, 3J, 4DH and 5C face out into the aisle making easier passengers to get in and out of them.

Among disadvantages of these seats: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, reduced width and proximity of the galley.

Passengers of the seats 8DEGH will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom but location of the galley in front may cause discomfort.

The seats 25JL, 26AC and 26DEGH are less reclining than standard.
