Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A350-900 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

The A350-900’s that Lufthansa operate feature three classes of service onboard – Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.

Business Class features spacious seats that transform into fully flat beds.

Also in Business Class, Lufthansa has created the Self-Service Refreshment Center which provides passengers with access to snacks and beverages.

Premium Economy Class features wide comfortable seats with additional legroom.

Economy Class features new ergonomically designed seating to make long-haul flights comfortable.

The A350, which maintains the 2-2-2 configuration of the A340-300 and A330, lacks the comfortable wide seats.

The seats are 20 inches wide compared to the 20.5 inches on the other aircraft.

The pitch and bed length remains unchanged at 64 inches and 78 inches, respectively.

The trade-off to the slightly narrower seat is that the A350 is one of the newest aircraft operated by Lufthansa, so you can almost guarantee a less worn business class seat.

Additionally, the A350 is a technologically advanced aircraft, similar to the 787, so your in-flight comfort will be maximized in that regard.

In this case, the best seats are going to be in row 1 because the lavatories are located in between the two business class mini-cabins.

Every inch counts when flying, and the premium economy seats on the A350 measure up at 18 inches wide and 38 inches in pitch.

There are 21 seats across 3 rows in a 2-3-2 configuration.

The smaller cabin size is a big benefit, but the premium economy seats are still quite small compared to the other premium economy seats.

This A350-900 version offers 293 seats of three classes: business, premium economy and economy.

Business class seats are located in the first 8 rows.

These seats are located in two sections.

First section contains 6 rows of seats that have 2-2-2 configuration.

All business class seats transform into flat beds.

Passengers of the seats of the 1st row will feel comfortable because these seats provide privacy thanks to the bulkhead located in front.

However, noise from the galley located in front may cause some discomfort.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 6th row is location of the lavatory and galley behind.

Behind the exit row 2 more rows of business class are located.

There are 12 more seats here.

The seats of the 7th row have the same disadvantage as the seats of the 6th row i.e. proximity of the galley and lavatory.

Behind the bulkhead 3 rows of premium economy class are located.

There are 21 recliner seats here.

Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is the main disadvantage of the seats of the 12th row.

Economy class may accommodate 224 passengers.

The seats of economy class are divided into two sections.

Passengers of the seats of the 16th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

However, as the tray tables and TV displays are located in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

For passengers travelling with a partner will be ideal the seats 16AB and 16JK.

As there are no seats in front, passengers of the seats 18C and 18H will feel comfortable thanks to additional legroom.

However for the same reason these seats are often bumped by other passengers passing by.

Among other disadvantages: reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Due to the wall located behind the seats of the 26th row are less reclining than standard.

Close location of the lavatories is another disadvantage of these seats.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats 27BC and 27HJ offer extra space to passengers’ legs.

These seats are perfect for passengers travelling with couples.

At the same time these seats have some disadvantages: reduced width because the tray table and TV displays are built-in the armrests making them immovable, lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and location of the lavatory in front.

These disadvantages are also applicable to other seats of this row, i.e. for the seats 27DEG.

The seats 28A and 28K are the best seats in the economy class.

These seats offer additional space to passengers’ legs. However, the armrests of these seats are immovable because the tray tables and entertainment monitors are installed here reducing the width of these seats.

Noise from the lavatory and galley is the only disadvantage of the seats 41D and 41G.

Limited recline and location of the galley and lavatory area behind make the seats 41ABC, 41HJK and 42DEG bad seats.

Second version of Airbus A350-900 may accommodate 319 passengers in three classes.

Business class offers 36 flat bed seats that have 180 degrees recline.

These seats are located in the first 6 rows that have 2-2-2 configuration.

The seats of the 1st row are more private than other seats of business class.

At the same time these seats are located close to the galley area that may cause discomfort to passengers.

Noise from the lavatory, self-service refreshment and galley area located behind is the main disadvantage of the seats of the 6th row.

Business class is separated from premium economy class with an exit row.

Premium class offers 21 recliner seats.

The seats are located in three rows that have 2-3-2 configuration.

The seats of the 7th row have such disadvantages as lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and proximity of the galley and lavatories.

Behind the bulkhead two section of economy class seats are located.

There are totally 262 seats here. First section consists of 14 rows that have 3-3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 11th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats are considered good seats.

However, they have some disadvantages: reduced width because the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable and no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Due to lavatory walls located behind the seats of the 26th row are less reclining than standard and if the seats in front are reclined personal space of passengers of this row is reduced.

The noise from the lavatories located behind may be also bothersome.

Second section of economy class seats is located behind exit row.

The best seats of this section are the seats of the 27th row and the seats 28A and 28K.

Passengers of these seats will feel comfortable thanks to additional legroom.

Among disadvantages: reduced width of the seats and no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Lavatories and galley located behind may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 41DEG.

The seats 41ABC, 41HJK and 42DEG are considered bad seats because of the following disadvantages: close location of the galley and lavatory, reduced personal space when the seats in front are reclined and limited recline due to location of the lavatory wall behind.

Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A340-600 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Lufthansa operates two versions of Airbus A340-600 airplanes.

First version of Lufthansa Airbus 340-600 is operated in a four class configuration with 8 flat bed First Class seats, 44 flat bed seat with 180 degrees recline Business Class seats, 32 Premium Economy seats, and 213 standard Economy seats.

There are additional lavatories and galleys located on the second level of this aircraft.

Second version of Lufthansa Airbus 340-600 is operated in a four class configuration with 8 flat bed First Class seats, 56 angled flat Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 189 standard Economy seats.

There are additional lavatories located on the second level of this aircraft.

Lufthansa A340-600 seating in first class is identical to the A380, with two rows of 1-2-1 seating for a total of eight seats.

Some complain the Lufthansa First Class seats are not private enough, but privacy dividers can be raised which essentially block out the people around you.

In a compartment under the left armrest you will find the seats controls.

Under the right armrest, you will find your IFE remote.

There’s two power ports and a USB port on the right arm of the seat and plenty of storage via two compartments along the window as well as a large ottoman that opens up to store all your essential person items.

There are two rows of first class on the A340-600 and then two separate business class cabins on either side of the galley.

The first cabin is the larger of the two, beginning at row three through to row eight in a 2-2-2 (A-C, D-G, H-K) configuration, with the second cabin having four rows (see seat plan, right).

The in-flight entertainment was limited compared with best-in-class choices such as Emirates or Cathay Pacific, but was AVOD (audio-video on-demand).

The first cabin version of cabin includes 297 seats divided into four classes.

First class has 8 flat bed seats that are located in 2 rows that have 1-2-1 configuration.

Business class includes 44 angle flat seats divided into 2 sections.

First section has 5 rows of seats per 6 in each. All these seats are standard.

The only disadvantage of the seats of 7th row (last row in this section) is proximity of the galleys and lavatories.

The second section contains 14 seats.

Close location to the galleys and lavatories may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 10DG, 11G and 11HK.

Premium Economy class may transport 32 passengers.

The seats of the 22nd row are a little narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

Also these seats have no floor storage during takeoff and landing.

The seats of the 25th row are considered best seats on the airplane as they are located behind the exit row and passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom.

At the same time, there is no floor storage for these seats during take-off and landing and as the tray tables are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is slightly reduced.

Economy class is divided into two section having totally of 213 seats.

The seats of the 28th row have limited space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position.

Among other disadvantages: reduced width of these seats and lack of floor storage during takeoff and landing.

As there are no seats in front passengers of the seats 29D and 29G will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom here.

However, other passengers and crew members tend to bump into these seats.

The main disadvantage of the seats 38E and 39E is close location to the stair on the upper deck.

Other passengers are walking upstairs in order to visit lavatories causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

The seats of the 40th row may be less reclining as this is the last row of the section.

The seats of the 43rd row as well as the seats 44AC and 44HK have limited space for passengers’ legs because of the position of the bulkhead.

Also these seats are narrower than standard, there is no floor storage for these seats during takeoff and landing, close location of the galleys may cause discomfort.

As there are no seats behind other passengers and crew members tend to bump into the seats 53D and 53G.

The seats 54DEG may have less legroom because of the misalignment with the seats in front.

Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 57DEG and of the seats of the 58th row.

These seats are considered bad seats.

First class has 2 rows of flat bed seats that have 1-2-1 configuration.

Business class includes 56 angle flat seats divided into two sections.

30 of the seats are located in the first section and 26 in the second one.

In the first section only the seats of the last, 7th row have such a disadvantage as close location of the galleys and lavatories.

In the second section the same disadvantage have the seats 10DG and 11GHK.

There are 28 standard seats in the Premium Economy class.

As Premium class seats are located behind the exit row the seats of the 26th row have such a disadvantage as extra legroom.

As the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Economy class may transport 189 passengers.

It is divided into 2 sections.

The seats of the 31st row may have less space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position.

As the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little.

There is no floor storage for these seats during takeoff and landing.

Passengers of the seats 32D and 32G will take advantage of some extra legroom due to misalignment with the seats in front.

At the same time other passengers tend to bump into these seats.

Proximity of the stairs to the upper deck may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 38E and 39E.

As the 40th row is the last row in the first section of Economy class, the seats of these row may be less reclining.

The seats of the 43rd row as well as the seats 44AC and 44HK may have limited space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position.

Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome.

The tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable and reducing the width of these seats.

There is no floor storage for these seats during takeoff and landing.

Crew members and other passengers passing by tend to bump into the seats 53D and 53G.

Due to the misalignment with the seats in front passengers of the seats 54DEG may have a little less space for their legs.

Close location to the galleys may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 57DEG and of the 58th row.

Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A340-300 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

Lufthansa operates three cabin versions of Airbus A340-300 airplanes.

  • Lufthansa A340-300 Three Class V1. This Lufthansa Airbus 340-300 is operated in a three class configuration with 30 angled flat bed Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 221 standard Economy seats.
  • Lufthansa A340-300 Three Class V2. This Lufthansa Airbus 340-300 is operated in a three class configuration with 42 angled flat bed Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 181 standard Economy seats.
  • Lufthansa A340-300 Two Class. This Lufthansa Airbus 340-300 is operated in a two class configuration with 42 angled flat bed Business Class seats, and 225 standard Economy seats.

The business class seats on the A340 are slightly different from the 748-i

The window side seats are parallel and face the window rather than having pairs of seats angle so the feet are together at each seat pair.

Presumably this is due to the narrower cabin cross-section on Airbus vs the 748-i.

Maybe this is better if not traveling with a partner, but neither seat type offers much privacy for a single flyer.

Business class occupies the front cabin of the A340-300; there is no first class on this variant.

The arrangement is 2-2-2.

Window seats do not get direct aisle access, which renders these seats somewhat less appealing than much of the competition.

A staggered and more private arrangement is coming with the 777X.

The first cabin version of Airbus A340-300 is most common version in Lufthansa.

There are 279 seats divided into three classes on this airplane.

Business class may transport 30 passengers on its 30 angle-flat seats.

The seats have 2-2-2 configuration.

The seats of the first row are located close to the galleys and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 5th row is proximity of the galleys and lavatories.

There are 28 standard seats in Premium Economy class.

These seats are located in 4 rows per 7 seats in each.

All of them are standard only the seats of the 10th row have some disadvantages such as: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and close location of the galleys and lavatories.

Economy class includes 221 standard seats divided into 2 section.

Passengers of the seats of 16th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs due to the bulkhead position.

However, as the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Also, there is no floor storage for these seats during takeoff and landing.

The main disadvantage of the seats of the 27th row is proximity of the lavatories as other passengers tend to gather in this area.

The seats of the 29th row and the seats 30AC and 30HK have extra legroom thanks to the exit row in front.

Among disadvantages of these seats: reduced width of the seats as the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable, proximity of the lavatories and lack of floor storage during takeoff and landing.

The seats 40D and 40G are standard but as there are no seats behind them other passengers passing by and crew members tend to bump into these seats.

The seats 41DEG have limited legroom because of the misalignment with the row in front.

The seats of the 46th row may be not reclining at all or less reclining.

Also their close location to the galleys may be bothersome.

The second version of Boeing 340-300 operated by Lufthansa may transport 251 passengers in three classes.

Business class has 42 angle-flat seats located in 7 rows that are divided into 2 sections.

First section includes 5 rows of the seats that have 2-2-2 configuration.

The main disadvantage of some seats of Business class is proximity of the galleys or/and lavatories.

This disadvantage have seats of the 1st, 5th and 10th rows.

Plus the seats of the 1st and 10th rows have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Premium Economy class includes 4 rows of seats per 7 seats in each (2-3-2 configuration).

All the seats in this class are standard.

Economy class may accommodate 181 passengers.

It is divided into two sections.

All the seats of the first section are standard only close location of the seats of 27th row to the lavatories may represent a problem.

The second section of Economy class is located just behind the exit row.

That is why passengers of the seats of 29th row and of the seats 30AC and 30HK will feel comfortable here thanks to the extra legroom.

Among disadvantages of these seats: reduced width, lack of floor storage during takeoff and landing and other passengers tend to gather in this area in order to visit lavatories that are located close to these seats.

As there are no seats behind, other passengers and crew members passing by tend to bump into the seats 40D and 40G.

Because of the misalignment with the row in front passengers of the seats 41DEG may have limited legroom.

The seats of the 46th row are considered bad seats as this is the last row in the airplane and that is why these seats may be less reclining or not reclining at all.

Proximity of the galleys may be bothersome as well.

Seat Map and Seating Chart Lufthansa Airbus A340-300 Two Class Layout

The last cabin version has 267 seats in 2 classes.

Business class may transport 42 passengers on its angle-flat seats.

30 of these seats are located in the first section.

Close location of the seats 1CDGH to the galleys may cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.

The other 12 seats of the Business class are located in the second section.

The seats of the 10th row have such a disadvantage as proximity of the lavatories and galleys.

There are 225 seats in the Economy Class.

Economy class is also divided into 2 section.

All A, D, G, and K seats in the Economy Class have less underseat leg and storage space as compared to other standard seats because of the presence of entertainment equipment .

Passengers of the seats of 15th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs due to the bulkhead position.

The width of these seats is slightly reduced as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

As there are no seats in front the seats 16D and 16G have extra legroom but other passengers tend to bump into these seats.

Also these seats are a little narrower as the tray tables are built-in the armrests.

The seats 26AC, 26HK and the seats of the 27th row may be less reclining as it is the last row in the section.

Proximity of the lavatories may also be a problem.

The seats 30A and 30K have less legroom due to the protrusion of the exit door into this area.

As the tray tables are built-in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced.

Other passengers tend to congregate in this area to visit lavatories.

The seats 30A and 30K have less legroom due to the protrusion of the exit door into this area.

As the tray tables are built-in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced.

Other passengers tend to congregate in this area to visit lavatories.

Passengers of the seats of 29th row and of the seats 30C and 30H will feel comfortable thanks to the extra space for their legs.

However, these seats are narrower than standard and due to the close location of the lavatories other passengers tend to gather here.

Other passengers and crew members tend to bump into the seats 40D and 40G.

The seats 41DEG have a little less legroom.

The seats of the last 46th row may be less reclining and are considered bad seats.

The seats in this version of Airbus A330-300 are divided into three classes.

First class has 8 flat bed seats located in two rows per 4 seats in each.

The seats of the 1st row have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

There are 48 flat bed seats in the Business class.

These seats are located in 8 rows per 6 seats in each.

Business class has two sections. In the first section there are 2 rows of seats.

The only disadvantage of the seats of 4th row is close location of the galleys and lavatories.

Second section of the Business class has 6 rows of seats.

Passengers of the seats of 10th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs.

However, proximity of the galleys and lavatories may be a problem.

These seats are often given to passengers with babies as these seats have bassinet location.

Economy class may transport 161 passengers.

The seats of the Economy class are also divided into two sections.

27 seats are located in the first section.

The seats of the 24th row have limited legroom.

As the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 25D and 25G have some extra space for passengers’ legs.

The TV and tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable and reducing the width of these seats.

Another disadvantage of these seats is lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 25E and 25F have restricted legroom and they are a little narrower than other standard seats on the airplane.

The seats of the 27th row are less reclining and their close location to the lavatories may be bothersome.

In front of the second section of Economy class exit row is located.

That is why the seats of the 30th row have extra legroom.

Close location to the lavatories may represent a problem for passengers of these seats.

The seats 30DEFG are a little narrower as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

The seats 40D and 40G are standards but are often bumped by other passengers passing by and crew members due to the missing seats behind.

The seats 41DEG may have limited space for passengers’ legs and reduced width.

The main disadvantage of the seats 46AC and 46HK is proximity of the galleys.

The seats 46DEG are considered bad seats as they may have limited recline and are located close to the galleys.

The second cabin version of Airbus A330-300 operated by Lufthansa has seats of 4 classes.

There are 8 open suites in the first class.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 1st row is proximity of the galleys and lavatories.

Business class is divided into 2 sections.

First section has 2 rows of seats that have 2-2-2 configuration.

There are 18 seats in the second section that are located in 3 rows per 6 seats in each.

All the flat bed seats of business class are standard only close location of the seats of 10th row to the lavatories and galleys may represent a problem.

Premium Economy class has 21 seats located in 3 rows.

The seats of the 20th row may have limited legroom because of the bulkhead position.

Economy class may transport 177 passengers.

The main disadvantage of the seats of 23rd row is restricted space for passengers’ legs.

Proximity of the lavatories may be bothersome for passengers of the seats 27C, 27DEFG, 27H and of the 28th row.

Passengers of the seats of the 29th row and of the seats 30AC and 30HK will take advantage of the extra space for their legs as exit row is located in front.

Among disadvantages of these seats are: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, reduced width of the seats and proximity of the lavatories.

Crew members and other passengers tend to bump into the seats 40D and 40G.

The seats 41DEG have limited legroom.

Close location to the galleys may represent a problem to passengers of the seats of the last 46th row.

First class has 8 open suits located in two rows per 4 seats in each.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 1st row is close location to the galleys and lavatories.

Business class may transport 42 passengers on flat bed seats that have 2-2-2 configuration and are located in 7 rows.

The seats are located in 2 sections.

First section has 2 rows of seats.

The second section has 5 rows.

All these seats are standard only proximity of the lavatories and galleys may be bothersome for passengers of the seats of the 10th row.

Premium Economy class has 21 seats located in 3 rows that have 2-3-2 configuration.

The seats of the 24th row have limited space for passengers’ legs because of the bulkhead position.

There are 145 standard seats in Economy class.

The seats of the 27th row have also restricted legroom and are located close to the lavatories.

Proximity of the lavatories may also represent a problem for passengers of the seats of 28th row.

Passengers of the seats of the 29th row (29DEFG) and the seats 30AC and 30HK will take advantage of extra space for their legs due to the emergency exit located in front.

Among disadvantages of these seats: proximity of the lavatories, reduced width of these seats and lack of floor storage during takeoff and landing.

The seats 40D and 40G are standard but as there are no seats behind other passengers and crew members tend to bump into these seats.

The seats 41DEG may have limited space for passengers’ legs as these seats are misaligned with the seats located in front.

The seats of the last 46th row are considered bad seats as these are seats of the last row in the airplane. Close location to the galleys may be bothersome.

Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A321-100/200 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This A321-100/200 aircraft is the newest configuration of this aircraft type, ranging from rows 1-38.

It features Lufthansa’s Europa Cabin which has two additional rows and thinner seats than previous.

This aircraft operates in a Business and Economy Class configuration.

The number of seats per cabin is variable and may have as few as three rows of Business Class to a maximum of nine.

The maximum size of Business Class is illustrated in this map.

Business Class seats are the same as Economy with the middle seat left empty.

In Business Class, there is no longer a middle dividing table in this newest version.

Economy was configured 3-3 (A-B-C, D-E-F), while business was across 12 rows (no row 13) in a 2-2 (A-C, D-F) layout with the middle seat kept free.

The product in both classes is the airline’s new “Lufthansa European” seat with thinner cushions and narrower armrests to allow more space.

It was well designed, smart and comfortable, with smooth two-tone grey leather upholstery, sturdy seat-back tray tables with a magazine slot behind them, and a mesh pocket for personal items below in front of your knees.

Seats in Lufthansa Airbus A321-100/200 are divided into two classes.

Business class may transport 30 passengers.

The seats in this class have 2-2 configuration.

All middle seats, i.e. B and E seats are left empty.

The seats 1A, 1C and 2D, 2F have extra legroom due to position of the bulkhead.

However, close location to the galley may be bothersome.

Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 2C and 2D are a little narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests.

Economy class includes 160 standard seats.

The seats of the 9th row may have less space for passengers’ legs due to the bulkhead position.

The seat 9A has no window.

The seat 9E is 2 inches narrower than other seats on the airplane.

Two seats of the 10th row, 10E and 10F have extra legroom due to the exit row located in front.

The seat 10F is missing window.

The seats 11ABC and 11D are considered best seats as passengers of these seats will feel comfortable here thanks to extra legroom provided by exit row and missing seats in front.

The width of the seat 11D is a little narrower as the tray table is in the armrest making it immovable.

The seats of the 25th row are not reclining as behind them exit row is located.

Passengers of the seats of 26th row will take advantage of extra legroom due to the emergency exit in front.

As the tray tables are built-in the armrest the width of these seats is reduced a little.

These seats also have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats 26A and 26F are missing windows.

The seat 27D has also extra space for passenger’s legs due to the position of the crew seat in front.

However, the width of this seat is reduced a little.

The only disadvantage of the seats 36C, 36D and 37C, 37D is their close location to the lavatories.

The seats of the last 38th row may be not reclining or have limited recline.

Proximity to the lavatories and galley may be bothersome.

Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A320neo Details and Pictures

Lufthansa Airbus A320neo D AINC at London Heathrow Airport

Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A320neo Details and Pictures. On current fleet, in total Lufthansa operated 24 narrow-body aircraft Airbus A320neo (22 on services, 2 on orders).

The Airbus A320neo operates on a variety of domestic and European short- and medium-haul routes.

The main differences of the Airbus A320Neo and A320-200 are – new engines and presence of wing tips of sharklets type that in summary should reduce by 15% fuel consumption (at the same time sme other systems are modernized but the wing requires strengthening).

The exterior of the aircraft was a simple “Airbus A320-200”, and unless you know your aircraft – and your engines – you might miss the real innovation – the new Pratt and Whitney Geared Turbo Fan engines.

These much bigger engines are supposed to save at least 15 per cent on fuel consumption and are much quieter, two valuable attributes for airlines – and airports – today.

Lufthansa Fleet Airbus A320neo Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout

This Airbus A320neo aircraft is the newest configuration of this aircraft type and seats range from rows 1-32.

Lufthansa A320neo aircraft operates in a Business and Economy Class configuration.

The number of seats per cabin is variable and may have as few as three rows of Business Class to a maximum of seven.

The maximum size of Business Class is illustrated in this map.

Business Class seats are the same as Economy with the middle seat left empty.

The A320neo in Lufthansa’s new configuration carries 180 passengers, 12 seats (or two seat rows) more than the current A320s of the carrier, which physically have the same fuselage dimensions.

There are five rows with more pitch.

Lufthansa says the pitch is 81cm for these business class rows.

The total number of rows is 30, the average pitch in Economy is 29 inches (74cm), but the last three rows have just 28 inches (71cm).

But never has the distinction between premium seats in business class and others in economy been as clear as in the new Lufthansa A320neo cabin.

Lufthansa claims it has gained space by rearranging toilets and galleys, but it has also squeezed seat pitch considerably in the rows after about the first third of the cabin.

On a current Lufthansa A320, there are 11.8 inches (30cm) of space between the back of the Recaro slimline seat in front and the edge of the next seat.

The space to sit on, measured from the edge to the beginning of the backrest, is 16.9 inches (43cm).

Number of business class seats depends on the demand.

This airplane may offer up to 28 seats.

These seats are located in the first 7 rows.

Business class seats have 2-2 configuration.

The middle seats in each row are blocked providing extra space for passengers.

All the seats of business class are standard.

Only the seats of the 1st row have such disadvantages as: the noise from the galleys and lavatories located in front and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Business class is separated from economy class with a curtain divider.

Economy class may accommodate 138 passengers.

All the seats of the economy class have 3-3 configuration.

As the tray tables of the seats of the 8th row are located in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.

Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and curtain divider in front may be bothersome.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 10th row have limited recline.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 11th row offer additional space for passengers’ legs.

But due to the exit row located behind these seats are less reclining than standard.

Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.

Passengers of the seats of the 12th row will take advantage of extra legroom.

These seats are considered the best seats on the airplane.

However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The only disadvantage of the seats 31C and 31D is close location of the galley and lavatories.

Because of the galley and lavatories located behind and limited recline the seats of the 32nd row are considered bad seats.
