KLM Fleet Boeing 737-800 Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
KLM’s Europe Select seats come with flexible booking, advance seat reservation, extra baggage allowance, priority boarding and disembarking, and a quick passage through customs.
Plus, you earn double Flying Blue Miles with every flight in a Europe Select seat.
KLM charges extra for Exit Row seats in economy class.
KLM’s 737-800s have 5 rows of business class in a 2-2 configuration.
But like most other European airlines, rather than having 5 rows of proper recliner seats, the entire plane is economy class but the 5 rows of business class just block the middle seat.
There’s also power ports at the seats in between seats underneath the armrest.
Each seat also had individual power ports.

Business class offers 20 recliner seats that are located in first 5 rows of the airplane.
The middle seats, i.e. the seats B and E are not sold providing additional room for passengers of business class.
All the seats of business class are standard, only the seats of the 1st row have some peculiarities such as: location of the galleys in front, lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced with as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.
Except business and economy class this airplane offers 6 seats of so-called economy comfort class.
These seats are located in the 6th row.
The seats of the 6th row have extra seat pitch.
Economy class consists of 25 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.
There are totally 144 standard seats here.
Due to presence of entertainment equipment under the seats 8A, 10A and 10F the under seat storage and legroom are restricted.
Misaligned windows is disadvantage of the seats 9A and 10F.
The seats 9F and 10A have no windows at all.
Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 14th row do not recline.
Location of the seats of the 15th row between two exit rows on the one hand provides these seats with extra legroom (these seats are designated as preferred seats to reserve which an additional charge should be paid).
At the same time these seats are less reclining than standard, have no floor storage during take-off and landing are narrower because the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.
Passengers of the seats of the 16th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra space for their legs.
These seats are considered preferred seats for which an additional fee is charged.
However, these width of these seats is reduced a little and there is no floor storage for these seats during take-off and landing.
Passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 31C, 31 D and the seats of the last 32nd row while waiting to visit lavatories and causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
Also limited recline makes the seats of the 32nd row bad seats.

The seats of the 6th row (the first row of the economy class) are considered economy comfort seats.
The under seat storage and legroom of all A seats of the economy class, except the seats 9A and 12A, is restricted due to presence of entertainment equipment here.

The length of Airbus A330-300 is 63.69 meters that is almost 5 meters longer than Airbus A330-200.
Also it should be mentioned that the tail fin of A330-300 is almost 50 centimeters shorter that the tail fin of A330-200.
Despite bigger flying-range Airbus A330-300 significantly cedes to A330-200 flying range of which is 13400 kilometers.
It is explained with the fact that Airbus A330-300 has bigger weight-lift ability, it is longer and heavier.
As Airbus A330-300 is long-haul airplane during a long flight crew members will need to have rest.
For this near the pilots’ deck is constructed small compartment for having rest.
For stewards there is separate place for rest under passenger deck in cargo compartment.

Airbus A330-200 operated by KLM offers seats of three classes. First 5 rows offer seats of business class.
These rows are divided into 2 sections and have 2-2-2 configuration.
So, there are totally 30 angle-flat seats here that have 170 degrees recline.
First sections consists of 3 rows of seats.
The seats of the 1st row offer additional space for passengers legs.
However, location of the galley and lavatory in front of these seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing nay cause some discomfort.
The noise from the galleys located behind is the main disadvantage of the seats 3DG and 3HJ.
The second section of business class seats has 2 rows.
Thanks to the position of the bulkhead the seats of the 6th row offer extra legroom.
Light from the galleys during overnight flights will cause inconvenience to passengers of these seats.
Economy comfort class offers 35 standard seats.
These seats are located in 5 rows and are more reclining than standard economy class seats.
These seats may be reserved for extra charge.
The best seats of this class are considered the seats of the 10th row.
Passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom.
As the tray tables are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.
Due to awkward configuration transition of the seats from 3 to 4 the seats 11D and 11G on the one hand have additional space for their legs but on the other their feet are bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.
The seats 11E and 11F have restricted legroom, are a little narrower than standard and their personal TV screens are located on the seats in front making the watching difficult.
Economy class may accommodate 178 passengers.
Due to extra recline of the seats located in front the seats 16AB and 16HJ have less space.
Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 23DEFG, 24AB and 24HJ while waiting to visit lavatories and thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.
These seats are considered bad seats.
Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located.
There are 14 rows of seats here.
The seats of the 30th row have the following disadvantages: location of the lavatories in front, reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.
Passengers travelling with infants are often seated on the seats 30DEFG as these seats have bassinets.
Also the legroom of these seats is limited.
The seats 30AB and 30HJ on the contrary offer additional space for passengers’ legs.
These seats are designated as preferred seats to order which an extra charge should be paid.
These seats are considered the best seats of the economy class.
As there are no seats behind the seats 39D and 39G are often bumped by service carts and other passengers passing by.
The legroom of the seats 40DEG is limited.
Due to curvature of the airplane the seats AB and HJ of the rows 39-41 may feel cramped.
Presence of entertainment equipment under A and J seats of these rows and under the seat 42G restricts the legroom of these seats.
Location of the galleys and lavatory behind the seats 42AB, 42D, 42G and the seats of the 43rd row will cause discomfort to passengers of these seats.
Limited recline makes the seats 42AB, 43 DEG and 43HJ bad seats.

Air France Fleet Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Cabin Interior Class Configuration and Seats Layout
Air France’s newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is outfitted with 276 seats.
The interior features 30 lie flat Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 225 standard Economy seats.
The business-class cabin stretches from rows 1-8 and consists of a total of 30 lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 reverse-herringbone configuration.
Each seat measures 21 inches wide, offers 42 inches of pitch and reclines to a fully flat position.
Seats on either side of the aircraft are obviously ideal for solo travelers, since there’s an aisle between those seats and the center section.
The middle seats are better for those that are traveling with a companion, but also provide a decent amount of privacy thanks to a divider that can be raised between the two seats.
Premium economy seats fall pretty firmly in the middle ground between business and economy.
With 40 inches of pitch and 19 of width they don’t feel cramped, even if you’re not in the bulkhead row.
They recline within a fixed shell so as not to disturb the passenger behind, which is a big bonus if you want to work, eat, or just generally retain some personal space.
The recline is not bad at 130 degrees, though obviously they can’t compete with the lie-flat offering at the front of the plane.
On arrival the cabin looked clean and I thought the seats looked smart and modern, with a white, black and red colour scheme and leather finishings on the arm and headrests.
There was also a comfortable red pillow and a thick, soft blanket.
A small bottle of Evian was placed in a water bottle holder.
All Air France Dreamliners have wifi, with various packages available – a free pass for messaging on WhatsApp, iMessage or WeChat, a Surf Pass for internet browsing and emails starting from €5, and a stream pass for more heavy-duty internet use at a hefty €30.

First 8 rows on this airplane offer 30 open suites of business class.
All these seats are transformed into a fully bed.
Close location to the galleys and lavatory will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 1A and 1K.
Proximity of the galleys may also represent a problem to passengers of the seats of the 8th row.
Behind the exit row 21 seats of premium economy class are located.
These seats have 130 degrees recline.
Passengers of the seats of the 10th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs.
For passengers travelling with babies these seats offer bassinets.
These seats have some disadvantages: proximity of the lavatories, reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.
Economy class offers 225 standard seats that are located in two sections.
First section contains 11 rows of seats: 10 of them have 3-3-3 configuration and the last row of the section contains just 6 seats.
Extra legroom provided by the seats of the 15th row makes these seats good seats.
Passengers travelling with infants are often seated in this row. However, these seats are a little narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
Limited recline and location of the lavatories behind are the main disadvantages of the seats 24DEG, 25BC and 25HJK.
Behind the exit row second section of economy class seats is located.
There are 15 rows o seats here.
Passengers of the seats of the 30th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom.
As the tray tables are in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little.
Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.
The seats 30BC and 30HJ are considered the best seats.
Protrusion of the exit doors restricts extra legroom of the seats 30A and 30K a little.
Location of the lavatory in front will cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats 30DEG.
For passengers with babies these seats offer bassinets.
The noise from the lavatory and galley located behind the seats of the 43rd row (except the seat 43E) and the seats of the 44th row may be bothersome.
Limited recline makes the seats 43ABC, 43HJK and 44DEG bad seats.
